The menu changes daily. What was caught or harvested yesterday is whats on the menu today. 32 tap beers, over 80 whiskeys and scotches, complete wine list and cocktail menu. Something for everyone.
The 40 steak and seafood has 5 unique dining rooms, all named after different characteristics or industries that make North Dakota a great State. Each room has its own theme with different furniture, fireplaces, ceiling, flooring and artwork giving each room its own unique and different feel.

I ordered the ribeye steak and to me a ribeye needs to be a thicker to cooked properly to enjoy what was ordered. It couldn’t have been more than a 1/2” thick and when ordered medium rare it can’t be cooked that way.

Overall, the steak was excellent. However, sides and appetizers were lackluster. The beets in particular were not good and the mashed potatoes were barely warm

The food was good and portion sizes were fair, but the meal all around was a little over priced. The drinks were great and had a nice variety for everyone!

Food was so good, and there were lots of options for vegetarians! Service was prompt and polite. Very clean and LOVED the style of the restaurant!

Keep looking for another restaurant. I had the Walleye dredged in tons of panko and the fish was never turned and cooked on parchment paper leaving a stodgy layer of panko on the underside. The fish and panko were tasteless and had no added spicing. The deviled eggs had clearly been in the refrigerator for hours prior to serving. Even with a light dusting of paprika there was not flavor. The whites were rubbery and no added spice to the yolks, not even salt, just plain ol' yolk. And they were presented on an oyster tray ... I'd like to let you know about the other dishes, but not worth it. Just don't go. BTW ... charged $.75 for horseradish for the steak. WTF??

Stopped for one night in Bismarck and our hotel was close to the restaurant. What a find. Best dinner we had during our two week road trip.
