I ordered the filet tip risotto which was disappointing. Filet tips are not thin slices of the tenderloin. Filet tip are pieces of the tail of the tenderloin. Thin medallions of the tenderloin cannot be grilled to get an outside char and still keep the beef to a medium rare which I ordered. The kitchen should understand their cuts of meat or at least change the menu to reflect what you are actually buying. The risotto was dense, overcooked as if it was leftover for the day before. The filet medallions were way over cooked.

Our server was very fast, extremely efficient which was great but I almost felt like we needed to solute him afterwards. He needs to add some personality, lighten up and not be so curt with customers. I appreciated his service but the rest of the table thought he was a little scary.

Always a great meal here, reasonably priced. G was a terrific server. Will request him again!

We were seated next to a door leading to the outdoor dining area that the manager came over and closed off for the waitstaff on three separate occasions because it was so loud and immediately next to our table. The waitstaff continued to use the exit during our entire dinner.

We came for the delicious brunch and, as usual, it was hot and tasty. Our waitress, Mary, was friendly and attentive. The manager greeted us as we were leaving which it always a nice touch.

The food was pretty good and I liked the atmosphere, being able to sit outside. However, the service was terrible. Incredibly slow. We had to get up and find someone to ask for silverware and when we were ready to pay our bill. Then, they did not split our bill as requested, so they had to correct that as well. We only saw our server maybe 2-3 times the entire time we were there which ended up being around 2 1/2 hours...far longer than we planned.

Great food and service as always. I have never had a bad experience here.

The food was excellent! In particular...appetizers Tenderloin Skewers, Shrimpcargo were delicious! Dessert berries Napoleon excellent. We ordered 2 desserts thinking they would be small pieces, Napoleon so large (very light) we only finished one! Will be back!

Birthday Dinner - Fabulous night out a superb location

Way backed up on reservations. Waited an additional 1/2 hour with reservation. Good thing 2 couples gave up & left so it moved us up. Food was okay, but not great. Service was exceptional

Should post that restaurant seating is primarily outdoors.....when the reservations were made standard seating was selected. But no mention that outdoor seating was the standard....overall food was good, smoked salmon app was loved , and the crab and corn chowder was amazing. Entrees were solid but underseasoned......we will definitely go to Barretts again when we are in the area.

This was our first visit to Barrett’s since the pandemic entered our lives. We ate outside which is nicely organized and is away from crowds and foot traffic. The food was very good as was the service. The inside also looked safe for indoor dining. There are a lot of nice choices on the menu. I look forward to many return visits!

We sat outside, it was a lovely day. We shared the calamari appetizer, and my friend had the crispy chicken salad, I had the chopped chicken salad. Because it was my friend's birthday, the server treated us to dessert (apple cobbler). Everything was delicious. Will definitely go again.

We had a great experience at Barrett’s Grill. The food was absolutely delicious. We began with the kale salad. It is probably one of the best salads I have ever had. Our main meal was the Osso Bucco. The meat was fall off the bone delicious and the polenta was amazing. Our waiter Corey, was great. We enjoyed our evening there and hope to return soon.

My daughter and I went to Barrett’s Grill for Sunday brunch and we enjoyed the entire experience. Our family has been to Barrett’s before for other meals and we have always been pleased with the food, service, and the atmosphere! We would highly recommend this restaurant for any of your meals for dining out.

We are never disappointed when we go to Barrett's. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They even get to know the regulars and recognize faces! That is important to my family. The food is always delicious and the presentation of the plate enhances the taste. We live in York and will often drive down to just relax and enjoy some good food. Cant wait for the live band to come back.

The service and restaurant was great BUT it seemed really crazy that we were there at 10:30 for brunch and there was no regular coffee available. It is not like the restaurant was packed and that seems to be an essential part of brunch.

Decided on you guys since it is my GFs favorite place. Was there in Novemeber and things were excellent. Just felt a bit off on Valentine's Day. Ordered of the prixe fixe menu, was disappointed the shrimp cargot and scallop orzo? wasn't on there. Ordred all three courses at once...GFs side did not come out with meal...I was brought a dessert menu which confused me for a second before we all got on the same track...and GF ordered the creme brulle...and when it came to the table, it had not been "scorched" or what have you so no "candied" top to the dish... Still a favorite of ours and will return and recommend to others. I know the holiday type days can be a bit of a challenge.
