Everything was great except our table was too close to the door and it was very cold when the door opened. Otherwise it was very nice.
Great food, great service !!
The pre-theatre prix fix deal is a real value. Food (strip steak and chicken milanese) and service were great.
Was a great experience.
A friend and I had a lovely dinner from the theater menu. It included an app, dinner, and dessert. The choices were very nice and all parts of the meal were outstanding. A glass of wine is a little pricy but otherwise the quality of the food is worth the cost.
We had the prix-fix menu on Sunday before the Engeman show. I chose the clams and my husband had the pea soup as appetizers. Both were excellently seasoned. 'We both chose the salmon, which was served on a bed of small cut beets . The salmon was moist and perfectly done. The only disappointment was the potato croquet which was cold. We had the dessert for two. We were not rushed and made it to the show on time.
Always enjoy a meal here. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly.
We have been to Bistro 44 in Northport Village many times and the food and service are consistently very good. This was a pre-theater dinner and as always, it helps make for a wonderful night out
Everything was perfect! Food was delicious and service was excellent.
As always, great food and service. We frequent Bistro 44. The food is super and service is better.
Our food was excellent as was our waitress.
Bistro 44 is an outstanding restaurant. The food is terrific.
Always good service ,food and ambiance. Waiters work well with time for the pre theatre dinner.
Excellent restaurant. Service is very good and the food never disappoints. It’s a great venue to catch a meal before a show at The John Engeman Theater up the block on Main Street.
Went for a quick visit at the bar where we had two rounds of Jack and Coke for me and Pomegranate Martini for Liz. Had a wonderful chat with the bartender who did a fantastic job despite a full bar.
We sat down and had a very quick and attentive waiter who brought out bread, salad and french onion soup. We visited a couple of years ago having had randomly selected Bistro 44 and fell in love with the french onion soup and we have raved about it since. It is the best we have ever had and all others fail to live up to the french onion soup at Bistro 44.
I had the king crab legs while Liz had the Spinach and lobster ravioli. All just over the top delicious and perfect in every way. Portions were more than big enough and the presentation excellent. It was a relaxing atmosphere, not rushed and just a great experience overall.
We saw several nice options in Northport but it will be very difficult to forgo Bistro 44 to try something else in town since we only come "home" once every couple of years. To all the other restaurants in Northport: If you have trouble filling seats, blame Bistro 44 or see if you can steal their french onion soup recipe. Or steal their wait staff or bartender. Not sure what else to tell you besides good luck.
Always amazing food & service! Love this place whether it’s brunch, lunch or dinner...we have never been disappointed!
Went to see the engeman theater show afterwards. Food n service were very good
Great place with great food and service. Little loud but tolerable. Would recommend to friends!!
Had a lovely Malbec, delicious short ribs. It’s our go to place pre Engeman theatre evenings. Service always good. Could def use more vegetarian options
Tonight was a good meal in a pretty restaurant. The shrimp bisque was superb.
Delicious meal, nice ambiance. Server Jeff is a true asset to the restaurant!
Food and service was excellent and quiet so we could conduct business.
Pre theater dinner at the Bistro is always satisfying. Solid menu of well presented choices combined with attentive service yields a pleasant evening
We all ordered from the price fixed menu and were pleasantly surprised at the variety. Very friendly waiter.
Sit on the patio if it’s not raining. And try the cippino if it’s on the menu - full of lobster, clams and mussels.
This is our go-to restaurant for lunch before heading to the local theater. It is a cute bistro in town with three booths and more tables. As soon as we sit, the waiter brings butter and two preserves to go with the two mini muffins that are brought to the table. One is chocolate chip and the other is corn. Since this is a brunch/lunch menu, it would be nice to have a few breads or even croissants or rolls. The two tiny muffins just don't do it for us. And though the menu is varied, it has been the same for quite some time. There may be a soup of the day, but other than that, it is the same choices. Perhaps a daily pasta, fish or quiche would be a nice addition. We still enjoy this restaurant but have started going to other restaurants in the town that offer a menu with daily specials.
Very nice atmosphere, food was very good, service became a little slow by the end of meal.
Amazing food. Nice atmosphere & friendly waitstaff! Highly recommend!
As usually, the food was delicious and plentiful. We shared some salads and the staff split the salads for us, which is always appreciated.
Gina was amazing. Will ask to be in her section next time we go!
Bistro44 was okay. Portion of skirt steak was quite small, but it was on the pre theater special menu, so maybe that explains it. Server Bill was excellent. Sat by restrooms, lots of action there 😷.
Tara was wonderful and the food delicious!
Went to Bistro 44 for lunch with friends. We had a great time. Food and service were excellent. We chose to select from the price fixe menu which had a very good selection of items to eat for lunch. I would recommend this to others,
Lovely local favorite. The decor is cozy and soothing, the service is always attentive, and the food is consistently good. We all loved our meals and we commented on the fact that although it was a full house, we were able to hold a conversation without shouting. A favorite for pre-Engemann Theater dining.
Excellent service great food. Highly recommend
Great food and service. Very convenient location in Northport village and the playhouse. We will be back
Great food and service. A little noisy due to two large theatre groups but they left early.
A very friendly and warm atmosphere. All the staff are terrific - always willing to assist, smiling, and know their business. The food is terrific.
We had a great time. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was top notch.
