We all ordered from the price fixed menu and were pleasantly surprised at the variety. Very friendly waiter.
Sit on the patio if it’s not raining. And try the cippino if it’s on the menu - full of lobster, clams and mussels.
This is our go-to restaurant for lunch before heading to the local theater. It is a cute bistro in town with three booths and more tables. As soon as we sit, the waiter brings butter and two preserves to go with the two mini muffins that are brought to the table. One is chocolate chip and the other is corn. Since this is a brunch/lunch menu, it would be nice to have a few breads or even croissants or rolls. The two tiny muffins just don't do it for us. And though the menu is varied, it has been the same for quite some time. There may be a soup of the day, but other than that, it is the same choices. Perhaps a daily pasta, fish or quiche would be a nice addition. We still enjoy this restaurant but have started going to other restaurants in the town that offer a menu with daily specials.
Very nice atmosphere, food was very good, service became a little slow by the end of meal.
Amazing food. Nice atmosphere & friendly waitstaff! Highly recommend!
As usually, the food was delicious and plentiful. We shared some salads and the staff split the salads for us, which is always appreciated.
Gina was amazing. Will ask to be in her section next time we go!
Bistro44 was okay. Portion of skirt steak was quite small, but it was on the pre theater special menu, so maybe that explains it. Server Bill was excellent. Sat by restrooms, lots of action there 😷.
Tara was wonderful and the food delicious!
Went to Bistro 44 for lunch with friends. We had a great time. Food and service were excellent. We chose to select from the price fixe menu which had a very good selection of items to eat for lunch. I would recommend this to others,
Lovely local favorite. The decor is cozy and soothing, the service is always attentive, and the food is consistently good. We all loved our meals and we commented on the fact that although it was a full house, we were able to hold a conversation without shouting. A favorite for pre-Engemann Theater dining.
Excellent service great food. Highly recommend
Great food and service. Very convenient location in Northport village and the playhouse. We will be back
Great food and service. A little noisy due to two large theatre groups but they left early.
A very friendly and warm atmosphere. All the staff are terrific - always willing to assist, smiling, and know their business. The food is terrific.
We had a great time. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was top notch.
We went for our 46th wedding anniversary, and really enjoyed the visit. The food was excellent, anc the waitress was very attentive to our needs. It was an outstanding night.
Appetizers were good. Service was good. But my meal was something to be desired it was tasteless. I had spinach raviolis with lobster on top. Lobster pieces we're tough and the sauce was tasteless .
Was had a wonderful lunch. Staff is so welcoming and the food was delicious! Nice experience.
Nice and quiet to enjoy a lunch. Second visit and intend to return.
The food and the staff were amazing! The only problem was the table behind us was so noisy we couldn’t hear ourselves talking otherwise five stars
Went to bistro 44 for brunch. Everything was good. I had eggs Chesapeake which is basically Benedict, but adding on a crab cake. Very nicely done. My friend had a lobster BLT. She enjoyed it as well.
Our waitress was fantastic and the food was terrific. A little pricey but worth it. This was our second time here, and we will be back.
Food was very good . Excellent service. Does get busy and a little noisy
Eat at Bistro 44 whenever we go to a show , food is very good . It is a great place to eat in Northport Village
Great prefix menu, great variety for a menu, good bar drinks, excellent service. Yummy nice size portions . Extremely loud but it's the patrons with huge volume voices. I was annoyed but well worth a trip or two. Yummo
Good food, nice place and very good service! My only issue was the bartender 'shaking' my Manhattan! Yes, I could have said something but not the end of the world. We will definitely be back!
Restaurant itself has a real classic look. Staff is very attentive, but also a bit pushy about what they recommend you order. The “special” fish I got was not special at all except in the price. The tapenade, like other food, was way too salted. The ravioli meal was not much of anything. The fried mozzarella was overpowered by a balsamic vinaigrette dressing? Huge disappointment all around.
Loved our meal
We go to Bistro 44 for brunch every time we go to the Engeman Theatre and it never lets us down. From the wonderfully delicious hot muffins to the perfect omelets it's always a great meal. Excellent personal service as well.
Fantastic from start to finish. They followed up to confirm the reservation. Our table was ready and the food was super. Cooked as requested and our server Lee was very attentive. We will definately come back.
Loved our dinner! Great small place near Northport theatre. Really enjoyed it. We will go back.
our waiter kevin was awesome!nice guy!!!the food was great!it was beautiful out so we sat outside and it was delightful!!!!
Restaurant was great! Food, service, everything! Also very accommodating for our 2yr old! Loved it!
Best meal we have had in a while.
Excellent food and service! We share two dishes and loved both of them!
Visited Bistro 44 with friends before the theater. We all had the Theater Pre-Fix Dinner. Everything was delicious! I personally had the Chicken Milanese which was the best I’ve ever eaten! Highly recommend Bistro 44! We will be back even though it’s a 45 minute drive.
Not my favorite. Food was not the fresh experience I am accustomed to on the West coast. Old fashioned. I would try some place more cutting edge, light, organic, hip, less stodgy.
The restaurant is very nice
My only comment is that the outside seating area walls are covered with poison ivy which is a big turn off
