We really liked the ambience and decoration of the restaurant. However, the washroom was unpleasant with mould and a bowed ceiling and it was not at all clean which seems weird given the cool decoration in the actual restaurant. The food was alright. The special was not available, which was not a great start as it was not late, and the main menu is short. The salad and chips were good, as was the sorbet. The steak was ok, but I would not have guessed that the sauce was peppercorn. However, the service was great.

Uncomplicated bistro food absolutely on point. The bouchon style wines on tap are a good deal. Service is good and not annoyingly over attentive.

Service was good. Fish pie potato topping was too dense and lacked flavour and left little room for seafood, which lacked depth . Dish needed seasoning at the table.

We were very excited to visit Bistro Union, however we were left feeling rather disappointed. The restaurant was increidbly loud, which was a little overwhelming and the food option was Sunday roast only, which we didn't realise and wouldn't have chosen to go on a Sunday if we did. Everyone was nice however, and good quality ingredients, just a little disappointed.
