Well, I've been to BA many times. But not for a couple of years. Steaks were OK. Ribeye tougher than I'd expected. Sirloin was good and tender. Sides were better than meat. Prices were high for what we got. Not as good as it used to be.

Evidently having a 6:00 pm reservation is just a suggestion at the Mesa, Arizona restaurant. They took large parties with no reservations over people who had reservations. Also the vent in the ceiling was covered in dust along with the chandelier wheee the reservation desk was. Restaurant was in need of an update and cleaning. If this is the first impression when walking into this restaurant can’t imagine what the kitchen was like. Service was extremely slow and food was lukewarm to cold. This is the second chance we have given this restaurant. Will never go back again and Open Table needs to investigate them.

First I asked about when the bread would be coming out. We'll it won't be, we are out of bread...that started the evening off. My daughter ordered a drink. We had to remind the waitress twice before she got it. Right next to us they seated a large group with two screaming children. The food itself was pretty good. We asked fir a to go box. The waitress had to be reminded twice. Getting the check was like pulling teeth. Not sure we will go back anytime soon.

Our server was Layla and she was kind, courteous and professional. We would love to sit in her section again. The teamwork with the crew from walking in and exiting the restaurant was noticeable in a very positive way- Kindness all throughout the evening. Also appreciated when the manager distributing the food asked to check our meat to ensure it was cooked correctly to our order. Well done! Black Angus team for all around excellent service. We will be back. 🫶

Food and service were outstanding. However, the dining room was so warm it made enjoying the meal impossible. Arizona is hot in the summer, so A/C should be adjusted to assure a pleasant dining experience.

Food is consistently good and value-priced. My husband and I got asparagus and broccoli, both of which were undercooked. For the second time the asparagus had some stringy spears. Sirloin, salad, and au gratin potatoes were great. This property desperately needs upgrading - fresh paint, new upholstery, etc.

Atmosphere was very underwhelming. It was warm and stuffy. Decor very outdated. Food was just ok. Nothing special about it. It’s equivalent to what I could have made at home for the fraction of the cost. I wanted to try something different than lone star and Texas Roadhouse. This just is not a preferred alternative for me

I can't say enough about this Black Angus. They make great cocktails and you get what you pay for. The employees are wonderful and we are always taken care of. We frequently stop here at least four times per month.

The hamburger was juicy and delicious! The fries were fresh and hot, not overly seasoned. The tea was very good. Very good value! This place desperately needs an update - fresh paint, flooring, booth fabric, bathrooms.
