    Bien la cocina. Pero los platos no lucen sobre una mesa sin mantel. El precio que cobran se corresponde con un mejor servicio. Esperábamos otra cosa. El camarero cordial. El barman muy bien.

    Pretty disappointed with Blood and Samd. Service was off. Couldn’t sit at the bar before dinner because the bartender was “overwhelmed” and there were maybe 4 people at it. Food was fine but really not worth the price. We wanted to order oysters as a starter but because we weren’t doing the tasting menu we couldn’t have them. What is that about? Anyway, we won’t be back.

    This got great ratings. However not for us. One dish of ten was excellent. Two were good. A couple were ok. A few none of us liked. The beignets were the consistency of hush puppies. The macarons were gross and dry. Amber was an amazing server. However our bill was very large. $780 for 4 before tip and we had 8 drinks among the 4 of us. They added a service charge with the check (non tip) then snuck in a second service charge after we split the check 50/50. We drove from Cincinnati for this dinner with friends expecting a great experience. Not so much.

    Blood and Sand truly exceeded our expectations. The space is an elegant and charming atmosphere with a modern feel. I loved how the seating was spaced between the tables allowing for a more intimate dining experience. We each had the chefs tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each dish was perfectly paired bringing out the best flavors in the food as well as the wine. The favorite of the night was the crispy pork belly paired with a crisp rose wine. The service was on point at every turn, very polite and well versed in the wine and bourbons offered. We also enjoyed how there was a nice pause between each course where we were able to talk and did not feel like we were being rushed through the meal. After dinner we both enjoyed a rye Manhattan before heading home. Blood and Sand was overall a fantastic experience and memorable way to celebrate! I look forward to going back and trying more of what they have to offer.

    It was fine, the two of the 5 courses on the tasting menu were great but the rest were just fine. The wine pairings were often late despite the restaurant not being too busy. Wait staff was average. There are better restaurants in St Louis, especially at this price point.

    The kitchen is the star, deservedly so, turning out well crafted, portioned and plated dishes for every course. Very good wine list, owing up to the Wine Spectator ranking and at fair retail price-points. Attentive and friendly service completing a wonderful evening.

    We went for our 8 year wedding anniversary. We don’t get out much with two young kids at home. We really enjoyed the time there!! Wonderful experience for a special occasion!!

    We celebrated our anniversary there and they made it very special! I have food allergies and the server had prepped ahead of time what I could have on the menu and was ready to advise me. The bluefin tartare and the halibut were my favorite courses. So delicious! My husband loved the gnocchi, lamb stew, and elk. We would definitely go back!

    Everything was excellent, as usual: all courses of the tasting menu and the wine pairings. The serving of the elk chop was extremely generous as part of a tasting menu. Nicole's service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I only hope that I have another opportunity to visit St. Louis and dine here.

    This was our first visit to Blood and Sand and we absolutely loved it! From the moment we arrived, Amber greeted us with warm & personable service. Her recommendations on food, and cocktails were amazing. The atmosphere matches the entrees, & cocktails adding to the exceptional dining experience. We loved it so much we became members, and look forward to many more!

    Everything was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and patient. One of the bartenders was nice enough to come over and ask what type of drink my wife wanted after we had to send two drinks back. The drinks weren’t bad, just not the liquor she likes. She loved her custom drink. I really appreciate the accommodations they made. The food variety is exceptional. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

    The food was delicious, small portions and limited choices on the menu. Some items on the website menu no longer available. Food from the bar menu not able to be served in the dining room. Only salad dressing availble has anchovies in it therefore no salad. Crispy pork belly tasty and the halibut was flavorful. Desert only 2 choices, but both very good. Table and bathrooms clean. Overall good. Could be more accommodating and offer off the menu items or specials.

    My wife and I had dinner there recently and we chose the five-course tasting menu. The food options you had were diverse and original. Our selections were served in a timely fashion and the food was wonderful. My wife loved their mixed drink menu. The environment and atmosphere were exactly what we wanted; quiet and friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat.

    ***Five Stars to the Bar Menu and the bar staff overall.*** We ordered many drinks and they were all outstanding and very carefully made. We enjoyed watching them being brought to life at the beautiful bar! The 'Orange Moon' and the 'Dark Red' from the Specialty menu were our favorites. The open kitchen view was not only fun but SO CLEAN and sparkling. I love when you can see the line! I really wanted to be a new food fan of this legendary place, but, I wish we had skipped the meal and continued to explore the cocktail menu. I was only able to eat about half of the Niman Ranch strip steak, which was very disappointing. Im used to a strip loin steak having a bit of a chew, but this one was not chewable for many (many) bites. The Elk was average - no magic. No starch option available and no Chef's option for dinner or dessert. The vibe seemed oddly vacant and quiet, not warm and welcoming but that wasnt terrible for a 530pm dinner for 2 on a holiday weekend night. For us, when the drink and dinner for 2 surpasses $250, we usually have a great time spending it but here, everything was 'just fine,' really. I was hoping for more than 'fine.' Nothing worth being a difficult customer, just likely not a returning one.

    We had the 5 course tasting, and the food was beyond 5 star. The presentation and overall experience was top tier. My mind was blown away by the flavors. The $$ was also top tier. I would like to think Im a food connoisseur, but Ive never spent so much on dining for 2 in my life. I would definitely go back without the 5 courses.

    Spent a Saturday evening there to celebrate a birthday. The service was outstanding. Nicole was prompt and informative and the group enjoyed her recommendations from drinks, to wine and the food. We were celebrating a birthday and they surprised the table with a champaign toast to recognize the event! We were fortunate to have a small room for our family which added so much to the evening. We did the a la carte menu with our group. The 4 appetizers shared were wonderful especially the bluefin carpaccio. We also enjoyed the salad and gazpacho and our main meals. First time eating elk and it was prepared perfectly. The sides with the main entries were fine but nothing special hence the 4 rating on food. We will be back to try the 5 course tasting menu.

    Our party arrived near the end of dinner service, but we were fully accommodated. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the offerings and made great suggestions. The cocktail menu is diverse and delicious. I recommend the elk chops. I would recommend for a date night.
