Clyde's of Georgetown
We had a 9pm reservation but due to circumstances, we were running late. I was able to call & inform them we were running late. They said it was no problem & put us down as running late. When we got there, we were still seated quickly. Service was good, food was good too. Made my lady's bday great. Thank you!
Good food, service was a bit slow. I’d recommend sitting in the room with better lighting. Can be hard to have conversations when the tables are so close together-some other diners were screaming at each other which made for a disruptive evening.
Tables were crammed together. A young couple on one side of us looked to be on a date. We were so close to them I felt like I was intruding in their date. Because of the number of tables everyone was talking loudly so we ended up eating our meal quickly just so we could get out of there. Portions were not worth the price we paid, but it was good. I will not be recommending this restaurant to friends/family.
And the gluten free options were amazing! This is so important for people that can’t eat Gluten. I felt so at home and grateful.
Also reasonably priced!
And booking was easy and efficient!
I love Clydes and regularly use them all over DC for meeting up with friends and colleagues. I like the layout of Georgetown Clydes and the service was excellent both at the bar and at the table. Sadly on this occasion the food did not live up to the usual high standard. The muscles were very gritty and quite rubberly and the steak with the salad was very small.
We would have stayed for dessert however a family with two screaming children were seated right by us and whilst this is not any responsibility of Clydes we ended up cutting our lunch short and going somewhere else for dessert due to this.
Food was excellent. Server was friendly!
Great brunch spot! We were placed in the back room which has a glass ceiling and fun decor. The food was good - especially the complementary coffee cake. A little pricey but the quality of food makes it worth it and great brunch date spot.
Seated at time reserved. Excellent waitress. Great food.
Good lunch while shopping.
The food and atmosphere matched the great service. No hesitation in recommending it.
Enjoying the DC area with my wife and decided to treat ourselves to some really good food. Clyde’s never disappoints and as always the service was amazing!
We were seated next to an extremely loud table in the bar area, when they left the noise level went down. Drinks were good, food was pretty good, service was pretty good. Location is great
The food was great, and the service was fantastic! Our server was especially good.
Always excellent , great service good bar, good people fun
Great place with great service. Would recommend to friends.
We never miss the opportunity to dine here when we’re in Georgetown. Never disappointed in our food or service.
The server was horrible. Completely forgot to put in our appetizer order and only checked up on us once to realize we never got our food. The restaurant was not busy but obviously the server was too preoccupied to be attentive. Food was tasty just
We were promptly seated and greeted. Scott was our sever and he was personable and able to recommend guest favorites and his favorites. He made sure to check on us regularly and was able to hold a conversation with us as well. The food was good, Clyde’s is a staple of Georgetown and I highly recommend dining here
Rich, clubby atmosphere with tasty dishes and great service. The bar was lively and live music was tasteful and not too loud (thank you!). Our waiter was very attentive and some fun dishes. Crab Tower was good, as was the filet. Will definitely return!
Salads and food brought before our drinks. Tried to slow down our salads awaiting our wine but entrees served anyway, dishes stacked over the edge of the table. Had to cancel the wine pairing since dinner was over.
Everything else was good except service. We got appetizers and within the same minute the main meal came, too. The table - we had a group of five - was suddenly full of food and the end result was that some of the choices got cold before we ate them.
Steaks were tough over cooked ,dessert pastry flavorless and rubbery table next to us so close we couldn’t get out of booth. They were so close and loud we couldn’t hear our own conversation. Saving grace was Waitress jada helpful attentive very nice.
Server was standing by the bar chilling, food was degraded from the best portion tasting duck to you get only 5 slices, it’s more of an appetizer than a main course
We had a great time. Great food & Service.
The best place ever where to eat delicious food ! Great customer service , great environmental🤗🤗
We knew we would be hungry after driving three hours to Georgetown so made brunch reservations here. The food was delicious- I especially loved the Belgian waffles! The service was excellent as well.
Consistently impressed from greeting thru delicious meal and service
Food was very good, super glad we made reservations, at 6:15 on Friday it was packed. Our server did not pay us any attention once she took our order. She asked if we would like bread and we said yes, but it didn't show up and we had signal to her to ask her to deliver it. Very noisy. Would not recommend for intimate dining.
This place is great. Delicious food. We had the scallops and the salmon. Both were wonderful. Also the service was too notch. We had such a friendly attentive server! I'll definitely be returning!
I came back after 3~4 years but the food never disappoints. The duck dish and octopus appetizer was good. I do miss the grilled calamari though.
The service and ambiance were excellent. My friend's meal was fine. My pancakes were a bit hard, not their normal soft but firm.
Very poor and slow server and overall service, especially once the server learned we were only having drinks and dessert. We ordered a bottle of wine, but he brought the wrong one and told us there was a typo on the menu for the year produced, versus what Clyde’s actually had on hand to sell. We ordered a glass of wine and gimlet, a piece of cheesecake and the server recommended the brownie Sundae. The drinks arrived, then the cheesecake, but no sign of the Sundae. After 20+ minutes, we flagged the server down to tell him we had to go. He assured us the dessert was up and he would return with it immediately. Ten minutes went by and when he brought the sundae, it looked as though he gad thrown it together, and horribly at best. Great ambiance. Horrible service and an uncaring server. A long time customer, we will not return. Back to one of our old favorites, The Old Ebbitt Grill, which has class and exceptional customer service. Hard to believe Clyde’s owns The Old Ebbitt.
We are visiting from LA and LOVE this place...second visit was even better than the first!
Food was fair. I ordered the catfish with the hush puppies. I almost bit into the hush puppies which was filled with little ham pieces. This was a letdown because I don’t eat pork. Restaurant couldn’t make hush puppies without the ham. The catfish was breaded too much. I would have gotten something more but vegetarian options few.
Four friends got together for a night out of dinner and dancing. Food was good, server attentive, and we were seated promptly. I did not like that we were seated in a high-traffic area and it was also a little noisy. I asked for the opposite. Other than that, good meeting/dining spot...we will most likely return.
Food was bland and mediocre.
Stellar service and excellent food.
Friendly, fast, professional! Manager toured all the tables; great teamwork; great food at reasonable prices. Will make this a must-stop in Washington.
