Fantastic evening. Perfect. Jonathon was great. The wine list is interesting. Different grapes from unexpected regions. The food was just what we needed. My only complaint is that we don’t live near enough to eat here more often.

A friend of mine and I take our daughters out for tea one day every summer. Every summer we try a different location. We tried Akwaaba because it is the only Black owned tea house in the area and we hadn't been there yet. We loved it! Their attention to detail and warm welcome and ambiance we perfect and added to the fun of our annual experience. The girls (12 years old)really enjoyed themselves and so did we. We would rank Akwaaba as one of the top tea houses in the area and will definitely go again.

Absolutely great experience. Such delicious homey food with great hospitality and service. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!!!!!!

Food Quality and Taste: 4/5 -Tomato Coconut Soup: 3.5/5 -Grilled Romaine Caesar: 4/5 -Salmon: 4/5 -Chicken Milanese: 4/5 -Carrot Cake Pie: 5/5 The food was excellent! Quality ingredients, great presentation and quality plating. Standouts? The salmon, the chicken Milanese and the carrot cake pie. Get that carrot cake pie!! Service: 4/5 Service was great! I was seated quickly and I was checked on often. It was little rushed, maybe because I was close to closing, but not a major flag at all. My to-go was boxed by the staff and I was taken care of. Atmosphere: 5/5 It’s so beautiful inside. Sorry I didn’t capture in my video. It’s beautiful decor and such a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a place I’d like to just sit and work. Value: 4/5 Dishes can be quite expensive, but the food quality, service and atmosphere truly make it worth it. Opportunities for Learning: 4/5 There are a few dishes I had to google while I was there. This pushed my food knowledge a little. For example, “Sauce gribiche.” Great opportunities to learn!

The Bread Room’s Bread Making Class was a great experience! Kyle, the Bread Room’s baker, led us through a wonderful evening of bread making! It was very informative for all in the class - from those who had baked bread, to those who never had flour on their hands! In addition, they provided a bread tasting prior to the class starting with 3 different loaves of bread , accompanied by olive oil, a rhubarb jam, and butter! Wine, beer and coffee were also served! I tasted the whole wheat loaf…it was one of the best breads I’ve had! After class ended, they had an assortment of delicious sandwiches on all types of bread!! It was amazing and memorable event! I may not be able to ever bake bread as good as the loaves I tasted at the Bread Room that evening. But it’s comforting to know, I can (and will) go back for more delicious bread!
