The Albion es una joya georgiana que data de cuando Islington estaba formada por campos y tierras de cultivo. Nuestros clientes habituales dan un paseo por la tarde fuera de la ciudad para visitarnos. Una de nuestras especialidades es el lechón entero asado con toda su guarnición (brotes verdes y zanahorias con mantequilla, papas asadas, jugo de carne y salsa de manzana).

The Pig and Butcher occupies a handsome pub built in the mid 1800’s when Islington was a village outside London. The area around the pub used to be fields used by farmers to rest and feed their livestock before being sent to Smithfield’s Meat Market for sale. We take our inspiration from farmhouse tables across Europe. We use the best farms and suppliers in the country and present a weekly changing menu that reflects the most seasonal produce the country has to offer. We have an in house team that hand pick and deliver our fruit and vegetables each morning from New Spitalfields Market. We butcher all of our meat on site daily in our specially built butchers room downstairs. Our team have worked hard on curating a wine list that changes regularly. Our wine selection features some of the best wines from family-owned vineyards and larger winemakers from across the world that we have used since the mid nineties. We also offer a selection of beers.

    Excellent as always, honestly probably the best roast in London. Has topped more expensive ones I've had.

    The Albion has been our local for 20 years and its a very popular pub, especially in summer with lovely outside spaces. The food goes up and down but is in an up phase at the moment with some elevated options. The service is currently in a very good phase. The staff were all extremely professional, warm and polite. Mostly young women, bravo!! We had a funny issue with our table on arrival as The Albion is on multiple booking sites but the manager resolved the problem with class.
