Winner of the Open Table diner's choice award in 2025, Jerk at Nite, founded by Howard University students, in 2014, began as a solution to the lack of late-night food options at Howard University. After seeing peers struggle with unhealthy fast food, a small group of students, raised in a Jamaican household, started delivering flavorful jerk chicken and other Jamaican dishes from their dorm room. What began as a small campus venture evolved into a food truck business in 2015, and later, a brick-and-mortar restaurant.     The food was delicious. I had a shrimp gnocchi with succulent shrimp and perfectly prepared pasta. The chocolate creme brulee was also delectable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a truly authentic Sicilian dining experience.

    My husband and I went to Dutch Courage for drinks before dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I love the place, but it was my husband’s first time. We decided to sit at the bar, and everyone was incredibly nice, the cocktails were amazing, and they gave us a glass of champagne to help us celebrate! My husband is not a big gin fan, but they had a cocktail that was reminiscent of scotch which he loved. It was a great way to start off our evening!
