I’ve eaten at JOEY Bellevue enough over the past several months that I don’t really bother looking elsewhere when I’m in town. The food is consistently excellent, but what keeps bringing me back is the people. The team makes a great first impression and an even better second one. They have a remarkable ability to make regular guests feel remembered rather than simply recognized. Leila especially stood out to me. I assumed she recognized me because of my reservation history; however, one evening I stopped in without a reservation, and she greeted me by name even though we had only met briefly once before and had not seen each other in about three weeks. It is a small gesture, but it is exactly the kind of hospitality that turns a good restaurant into a place you genuinely look forward to visiting. Riley has also been consistently warm and welcoming. During one business trip, I saw her on three different nights; even on the third night, when I was not seated at one of her tables, she still made a point to stop by, say hello, and greet me by name. That level of attentiveness, especially in a busy restaurant, says a great deal about the culture here. On my late-night visits, Ava and Caroline have also become familiar faces. They always take a moment for a friendly chat that makes the end of the evening feel a little more personal and a lot more welcoming. The food deserves just as much praise. The variety makes JOEY an excellent choice for business dinners; whether your group includes vegetarians, someone eating keto, or people with completely different tastes, everyone can find something they are genuinely excited to order. Personally, the hummus with grilled naan, the Udon Carbonara, and the Butter Cake are all constant tests of self-control. Bellevue has no shortage of great restaurants, but very few places consistently make me feel as welcome as JOEY does. Great food brings people through the door; genuine hospitality is what keeps them coming back.

My team of 12 had a work celebration at JOEY and we were delighted to have a private room with big open windows, great service and excellent food. The manager came and met with us and they were so sweet to bring us a handwritten card! We will definitely be back for our next work event! I was so glad to be able to book right from OpenTable and not have to reach out to a bunch of different restaurants and call to make arrangements for a large group!

My family and I came in for lunch and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Jordan, our server, was fantastic. He made excellent recommendations, had a genuinely warm and welcoming personality, and made our meal so much fun. One of the highlights was when Chef Liam personally brought out one of our dishes and took the time to explain how every ingredient was sourced, how it was marinated, and how it was prepared. His passion for the craft was obvious, and it made the meal feel even more special. The food, the service, and the overall atmosphere were all exceptional. It’s rare to find a restaurant where every part of the experience exceeds expectations, but this place absolutely delivered. We can’t wait to come back!

Food was great. We had Gyoza, the Rib Eye Steak Platter and Stir Fried Udon with Tenderloin Steak. All were delicious and the Rib Eye Steak Platter served on a hot dish made the bottom of rice crispy which was a HUGE plus!
