He established his following, by running a series of successful popup restaurants to show case his interpretation of Filipino cuisine.​In 2016, the British born Filipino chef, embarked on a 3 month culinary research expedition to the Philippines to gain an insight into the many regional specialties that the Philippines has to offer and to share that knowledge back home in the UK.​The ambitious chef and aspiring entrepreneur now continues to popularise the cuisine through his cooking channel as seen on Youtube and most recently, through his street food business; 'TURO TURO' which specializes in Filipino barbecue and street food. Chef Rex also competed in the 'British Street Food Awards' in 2019, winning the title of "Southern Champion" in the regional heats and then competing in the National Finals to win 'Best Vegetarian Dish' in the UK

    Great venue good food and great service. First time I have visited having driven past many times a bit out of the way in a small village but well worth the drive out

    It was my wife's birthday and we needed someone fairly close after the Spurs! We arrived at 8:30 for our reservation at 9pm so had a nice drink out on the side terrace. All our food was amazing. My Soufle starter, incredible and then the Fillet Steak, beautifully cooked medium rare and served with a very generous portion of lovely French Fries. My Cherry Chocolate mousse was gorgeous too! My wife enjoyed all her dishes too. It was a lovely evening. The restaurant was packed, although it was a Saturday night. We both had 3 courses. A lovely half bottle of Macon Villages at £29 and a bottle of red for about £40. It came to alot but we enjoyed it all! Will bring the family for lunch next time...
