Vancouver Now Has Its Very-Own Georgian Restaurant!Dediko, owned by a mother-son team, serves the country’s famous stuffed breads and dumplings out of a cheery Evergreen Boulevard cafe. Dediko’s menu is stacked with the classics of that region, with a number of different khachapuri, soup-filled dumplings called khinkali, walnut-heavy vegetable dishes called phkali, and various grilled meats called mtsvadi. Also coming from the grill, Dediko’s kababi consists of a kebab-like grilled ground chicken patty with Georgian spices, folded in a roll of lavash flatbread. Nico Bakh is partial to a homey dish called lobio, a bean stew served in an imported Georgian pot, complete with a side of fermented vegetables and a Georgian cornbread called mchadi.

    This place is really great. The team there is super super friendly and they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The food is fantastic, better than in Georgia itself. We will go again in the future.

    Dining at Yalla was a lovely experience. The food was delicious, the service was well paced and professional, and the overall value of the meal was very worth it. Some of our favorite dishes were the labneh, fried chicken, and corn bread. I would totally recommend Yalla and will return when I’m looking for another celebratory meal.

    Loved the dinner and experience. Multiple tapas size plates with small, medium and large. Everything was amazing. Lots of food for the price. Service could be a bit more attentive (did not get follow-up on a bottle of wine until dinner was almost over). Pace of food was great. Loved the many options for food with plenty of lighter options.
