    We had a lovely evening, the service was excellent even though they were busy with a party in the other section of the dining area, we had a lovely comfortable table by the sofa, the atmosphere was lively and tranquil. My steak was cooked to perfection exactly the way I like it, Gary said his steak n ale pie was delicious 😋 we couldn't say no to desert as I just love Apple crumble, we will definitely be back for more

    The food was delicious, a good selection to choose from . The two for £23 , cottage pie and fish and chips were our choice and did not disappoint. We ordered from the bar, but table service is available . A nice relaxed ambiance made a perfect week date night .

    Lovely experience at the Prince Rupert for our wedding anniversary. The recent refurbishment has given it a great freshen up whilst keeping all the features we have always loved about it. The new menu offers a great choice, the options we chose were delicious and the portions are very generous. The welcome and service were excellent as always. Already looking forward to our next visit!

    An excellent canal side location, food is always superb and the hosts Vicky and Kev really make you welcome. I thoroughly recommend the New Inn for any occasion.
