We had an amazing time. Our waiter made the night exceptional. Andrew you are the BEST! Our steaks were tender and cooked to each our own perfection. Will definitely go again and again and again. Keep em comin Andy!

An exceptional dining experience. We are a frequent diner at J Gilbert's and this time it even surpassed other 5 star visits. The food from salad to dessert was all fresh and prepared perfectly. Brian our server was a delight. Ordered the planked salmon, cauliflower au gratin, filet mignon, baked potato (fabulous), and green beans. The wine selection is very nice and the apple blossom for dessert was yummy. We will continue to dine at this gem.

I dined alone here while visiting Yale for a conference with my husband who had an event, and it was completely delightful. From the lovely gentleman who greeted me, gave me my choice of a table near the front windows, and bid me goodbye to my attentive server to the masterly chef, this is an impressive restaurant in an historical building. Beautiful stained glass windows are framed above the large curtained windows overlooking the street outside. I enjoyed the refreshing cold pea soup with Parmesan crisp and the special entree: a boudin of lobster, shrimp, and crab held together with egg white over flavorful rice in a lobster bisque broth. It was light yet decadent and quite filling. The pavlova tasted as irresistible as I find pavlova to be on any dessert menu. The soy decaf cappuccino made a perfect complement to it. I highly recommend Union League Café to visitors and locals alike!

Fire at the Ridge is hands down my favorite place to eat. The food quality and the setting are perfect for an intimate dinner with friends or business associates. The fire pit seating particularly is a great way to spend an evening with friends catching up and enjoying a good meal. The service can get overwhelmed on busy nights translating to delays in ordering and food and drink delivery occasionally, but the staff is always friendly and helpful and the food and drinks are always more than worth the wait!
