REX at The Royal cuisine pays homage to the great early 20th-century African-American chefs who adapted traditional southern fare to Philadelphia’s urban landscape.     This was my first time back since Vespers had undergone new Ownership/ Management and I must say I had an absolute great time. The service was great, the bartender is an absolute doll and the owner introduced himself to me and was very pleasant and welcoming. I’ve had many birthday experiences here but this one in 2025 was the best so far. I will definitely be back and I recommend anyone who desires a great “Turnt up”party brunch to book now.

    Everything and everyone was excellent due to the circumstances that world is facing I wasn't expecting them to be open but they were the food service was great.

    I have been here several times and each time it only gets better. I know the menu and everything I have ordered has been spectacular. The servers are very nice and super patient. The food is so good. It is wholesome yet appetizing. I highly recommend this spot.
