Wonderful experience. Food, atmosphere, service and prices were all great!
Love the food, atmosphere, and vibe!
Great location and venue for lunch. The menu selection was good, and the atmosphere was perfect, so we could have a regular conversation without having to raise our voices. The service was fast, and the staff members were friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a business lunch or casual dining.
It’s not a bad restaurant, but with greater attention to detail, it could be more upscale. The management had difficulty processing a gift card issued by the restaurant. Their lack of familiarity with their own products was surprising.
Everything was great...except the noise level. Hard to have a conversation across the table!
The food was very tasty, and our friends from France enjoyed their meal immensely. The atmosphere was also very nice with low lighting, and it was quiet at about 6:30 PM. I would not rush back however, due to the slow service.
Our recent dinner was marred by the uncomfortable temperature in the restaurant. Even after we asked for relief from the heat, there was no change. The dinner was ok, but we only ordered salads because we didn't want hot food. All four of us were uncomfortable. On a previous visit, we had the braised beef, which was good and the chicken pot pie, which was not good. This time, in addition to salads, we had gazpacho which was made strangely with extremely long slices of onion and left a lasting odor. Both times, the service has been a bit slow, but this time, it was more than 20 minutes after ordering drinks before we saw our waiter again - without the drinks. The table next to us, got frustrated waiting for their check and went in search of dome one to pay. Unfortunately, although the restaurant seems nicely designed and should be a lovely spot to eat, we will not be returning.
The food was very good, as was the ambiance of the Daily Grill. That being said, there was too much noise for it to be relaxing, but that might just be because of the timing of the day. Overall, a great place to go to, if you don't mind the noise at times.
Food is always prepared great! Left my credit card here one night. Was handled appropriately and securely! !!! Love this place!
Service is a bit underwhelming.
It was fine - reliable and as expected.
We have eaten at the Daily Grille several times while traveling to DC. We had always enjoyed it. This time it was less than adequate. There must be new or different management. The bar staff was borderline "unfiriendly". They took long periods from behind the bar and our party of 6 waited a long time to be served and then longer still to be served subsequent rounds of drinks. We waited a longer time still to be served our meals. The dinner server was pleasant but not very attentive. The food was fair but the service was poor. We will not return in the foreseeable future.
I loved the New York strip steak topped with bacon and the pineapple mule👍🏽
Great food but service missed the mark tonight. While our waiter was attentive at the start, it took the bar more than 20 minutes to make our drinks (they came after we finished our appetizer course, when the food runners had to bus our table as they delivered entrees). Food was excellent, but it was an off night for service.
Delicious and reasonably priced
Great food and atmosphere. Was my guest's first time dining at Daily Grill. Overall good experience and we will definitely return again.
great time with friends and the Grill is perfect. Staff and service is always great. Sandwiches were the picks from all of us and one Cobb salad. Food is wonderful
We checked reviews and most were positive but there was a recurring theme of mediocre to poor service. Despite that we took a chance. The food was okay the service was not. We would not go back.
DG never disappoints. Tasty food, good menu, and solid service. I will be back.
Overpriced for what it is.
Here on vacation . . . this place got us seated right away as their were plenty of tables open! However, no server came to even give us water. The one that actually looked at us for about ten minutes, didn't even bother to say "Let me find the individual responsible for this section". Just looked repeatedly and then looked away and ignored us. Horrible experience . . . we ate at District Taco instead and it was fantastic.
Love the Daily Grill to get together once each year with friends before the Chrism Mass at St. Matthews. Service and food is great. Elijah was top notch server.
Enjoyed the attentiveness of the server. Timing of courses was perfect. Best pork chop I have ever had in my life! The basil/pink grapefruit cocktail a must
Nicely portioned food prepared quickly with wonderful service.
The waiter was not interested in us at all. He tried to push the most expensive items on the menu and wanted to rush us to order. The short ribs were underwhelming and more like an appetizer portion. He then rushed us to pay but I was not ready to do so. I ate here years ago and it was nice, now I will Never go back.
Food was pretty good. Standard American food. Nothing great but just what you need on a weekend brunch. I may go back. However, the service was terrible. We had a waitress who could not have cared less about her job if caring less was her actual job.
Place was not busy at all - maybe around 20-30% full. Waited 20 minutes to get water after having been seated, 30 for our order to be taken. Waiter occasionally stopped by - didn't seem particularly concerned with how long we had been waiting. Food was fine - mimosa was... Fine. Don't intend on going back
Was shoe horned into a booth. Bar is next to sit down seating. This wouldn't be an issue except that the bar was extremely loud. Waiter kept bouncing the glassware off of the table. Almost like he didn't have any depth perception. Food was good.
Solid crowd-pleasing food. Good place for a work lunch.
Keep trying to go back and have a better experience and it's not working out. This time waited 15 minutes for our glass of wine. This after waiting 15 minutes for our waiter to take our order. Our salads arrived long before our drinks. Absurd. The food is consistent and the location is convenient. The service is mediocre at best.
The food and service were fine but the noise level was too high, particularly for a business lunch. People shouldn’t have to raise their voices at a table for 4.
The service was a little slow since it was not crowded. Our waters were not filled once emptied unless we asked. Besides that - good food and nice ambiance. Yum.
The restaurant is great--food is always good. The noise level at this location is consistently very loud, especially as compared to other Daily Grill locations I have dined at.
Server took too long to greet us. Service was slow and that was an issue as I was in a business lunch.
The chicken pot pie is amazing!
Our server Miriam was delightful.
service was too slow. Attitude was fine but took way too long to get food delivered
On several occasions, I've ordered your beef dip sandwich, which I've enjoyed very much on previous occasions. This time, the horseradish or some other seasoning was too hot and my mouth burned with every bite.
The Daily Grill is a dependable, comfortable restaurant -- a cross between a traditional diner and a somewhat more upscale bistro. Lots of comfort food, good breakfast fare, good salads. Service was excellent and the ambiance is unpretentious and very pleasant.
The food was good and our waiter was very attentive.
Chicken wings are great!
