With a Certificate of Excellence, Das Marktrestaurant (The Market Restaurant) is ranked the third most popular restaurant in its location on TripAdvisor. Serving a fusion of traditional Bavarian and international cuisines, Das Marktrestaurant maintains a historical theme, in honor of having been established in a 17th century cellar. Customers can sample different delicacies, such as pasture ox with lemon purée and vanilla carrots, as well as various types of steak. During the summer months, guests can choose to be seated on its terrace with a view of the Alps. Das Marktrestaurant also organizes live musical events and cooking classes.

Dinner was absolutely incredible. The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Staff was super friendly and explained all parts of the dishes through the whole dinner. I chose to enjoy the matched drink pairing which enhanced each plate and complimented all flavors of the dish. No flavors were overpowering and fully enjoyed during each course. Cannot wait to enjoy what the chef creates the next time we visit!

Sehr aufmerksamer, freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Hervorragende Beratung beim Wein. Kochkunst und Küchenhandwerk auf Sterne Niveau. Das Sharing Menü läßt keine Wünsche offen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr nettes Sternerestaurant. Der Chef und seine Frau bedienen selbst. Das läuft sehr professionell ab, weil 100te Mal wiederholt, da das Menu nur 4-5 Mal im Jahr gewechselt wird. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und uns sehr wohl gefühlt

The meal that my partner and I had the privilege to enjoy at Das Marktrestaurant is one that I will fondly remember as one of the best. Not only was the food exceptional - the warm greeting from the Chef and his team made us feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning to end. Here Chef Alex and team have created a Michelin star experience that is not only superbly delicious but also accessible. The unique flavors of each dish kept us entertained and anticipatory throughout each course. The ambiance of the meal and thoughtful wine pairings provided the perfect accompaniment to the food. I highly recommend a stop to Das Marktrestaurant!

This restaurant is a wonderful little gem in the heart of a lovely Bavarian town. It's right off the tourist path and has a small courtyard with a view of the mountains. The owner and his wife attend to your every need. The food is creative, perfectly made and exceptionally presented. Having been to many Michelin star restaurants, I can say this one is definitely deserving and very good value. Highly recommend - it is a destination worthy experience.
