Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. With a curated wine list, local craft beer on tap, and beautifully executed menu, Riccardo and Marybeth are thrilled to bring R Wine Bar & Kitchen to the East Bank of Downtown Sioux Falls along with their General Manager Jane Allen, Assistant Manager Bailey Bernal, Executive Chef Cesar Vivas, and Sous Chef Carlos Chanquin.

Riccardo and Marybeth welcome you to their 3rd property, Maribella Ristorante. Opening R Wine Bar & Kitchen in 2018, Vespa Catering and Brix Wine Bar in 2022, and Trio Jazz Club in 2024, they have created a culture of hospitality for guests who feel like family. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and immigrated to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their team, the Tarabelsi's bring the best parts of hospitality to life for both their staff and guests. Executive Chef: Adam Schumacher, General Manager: Garrison Haatvedt.

With an environment that blends architectural and familial history with modern Tuscany styles, the warmth and welcome is as tangible as the delicious scents floating from the kitchen. Nonna's Kitchen is a multiple award winning and locally owned establishment operated by Tobias Steeves and his siblings. After taking over the the original owners in 2021 they have sought to elevate the experience even further by adding a full bar and focusing on quality handmade dishes and superb service. Tobias is also a world class bartender and mixologist who has placed nationally in numerous mixology competitions and personally curates our cocktail menus and spirits lists. When you stop in, you'll likely see a few of the family working in the restaurant (6 of the 8 kids in the family work here and keep Nonna's running well), and this is what Nonna's Kitchen is really about - when you dine with us, you are dining with family and friends!
