We went there for our anniversary and on our table was a huge heart made out of rose pedals and a huge beautiful rose on top! We received a complimentary glass of champagne and dessert as well :-) The food was incredible and well as the service! We started with the lobster tacos and lobster bisque. I had the sword steak and my husband had the Norwegian salmon. Needless to say we had a doggie bag to take home! We'll deferentially be back!!!
Eddie V's is a wonderful place. The food the service, drinks, the presentation, truly a delight.
We loved our meal, and had read a not so favorable review in the past. We are so glad, we decided to give to a try. Just goes t show, you can't always rely on 1 review. Thank Eddie V's for a fun and delicious meal!
Food was excellent. Service outstanding. Definitely a keeper!
Always enjoyable! Brittany, our server, helped make our eating experience a wonderful one. Also, a nice wine list.
Our server David was great and friendly as well as the manager on duty. I did have an issue with the hostess and the wait. My reservation was at 715 and she stated that we would be seated @ 745. I waited 15 minutes then escalated to the manger who immediately seated us.
This restaurant is the best restaurant I have ever dined at in Northern Virginia! The food was spectacular! The service was superb! The atmosphere was relaxing! I enjoyed every moment of my dinner with my husband for date night! I would highly recommmend this restaurant! Thank you!!!
I greatly enjoyed the experience and will return!
Overall it was good. The Red Snapper wasn't as good as expected but everything else was on point.
As always, when we have a special event, we know we can rely on Eddie V’s to show our guests and us a fabulous time. Consistency is their strength. We’re never disappointed.
Eddie V's is one of the few restaurants in the Tysons area that serves scallops - and they are cooked with citrus fruit in a light broth. Absolutely delicious! Brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes are tasty and filling side dishes. Service is attentive, but not intrusive. Save room for their signature dessert - bananas foster cake. It is worth the calories!
Among the many choices for dining that the Tysons area provides, Eddie V's is exceptional for both food and service.
Excellent Service, Food, and Atmosphere
Steaks were under cooked and lukewarm. Missed special occasion and table request specified in the reservation. Seafood very good. Their restaurant in Tampa is much better. I was expecting more. Overall disappointing.
The wait was long with reservations. We got good seats by the window as requested. Service was slow. The music was very loud. The seafood dish I had was good.
We ate at Eddie V's for our anniversary. The food was great! Our waiter was very attentive, and they did not rush out the courses. The food was brought out at the correct time. The food was very good. We had the tuna tartare appetizer, crab and corn chowder soup, stuffed grilled jumbo shrimp, Halibut, and the au gratin potatoes. Wow! Everything was cooked perfectly. Even our drinks were great! Sometimes I am apprehensive about ordering cocktails from "fancy" restaurants because they're never good, and never worth the high price. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the margarita I had was! The best ending to our celebration was the chocolate lava cake that wished us a Happy Anniversary! My husband and I will definitely come back again!
They must have changed their lunch menu. We were limited in our options. Others may not be. Hamburger was at best poor in taste same w fries. Who can mess that up.
Service was good until we tried to checkout and it took almost 30 minutes to get our bill making us late to a concert
I made a reservation for my birthday upon arrival I was greeted by a hostess and seated right away. I was seated at a large booth table with a birthday card handwritten from Eddie V’s. I thought that was sweet. The service was excellent as well as the food. I ordered a filet with a crab cake and the crab fried rice was amazing. I loved all of my food and drinks. I let me waiter know my food was great but I was too stuffed to add dessert. We asked for the check and to my surprise a free birthday butter cake and icecream was brought to the table. I just had to eat it lol It was soo delicious!
It was a great experience
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary. Wonderful experience for a special occasion! Andy was our server, very attentive and helpful. We were presented with a nice table that allowed us to watch the sun set. It was decorated with a long stem red rose and flower petals in a heart shape. The crab meat stuffed shrimp and chilean sea bass was the best! To finish dinner we were offered the godiva chocolate brownie and ice cream - Delish!! We will return again!
TAYLOR was the BEST Waiter Ever !!!! KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FULL OF Personality!!!! FOOD WAS AWESOME KEEP THE CRAB FRIED RICE!!! I WILL BE BACK!!!
This wasn’t our first time in this restaurant but this time we experienced a horrible customer service. Our waiter kept us waiting before he took an appetizer order, then kept us waiting even longer before he took a wine order. He then brought a wine bottle and did not chill it. He just left it in the ice bucket to chill right beside our table. He then disappeared for another half an hour. We got anxious and called him to our table. He was surprised we were not happy with the experience and said we should have told him earlier we wanted main course dishes. I know we did tell him but he conveniently forgot. The food itself was good but underwhelming even compared to previous visits. The restaurant was busy but it’s not an excuse for such a poor service. We are world travelers and we have seen much better service and food elsewhere. In our opinion, the restaurant puts profits far above customer experience and this is the beginning of its decline. While we were offered free desserts to compensate us for the long wait, it was too little too late. Not sure if we will ever come back.
We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and they added some sweet touches throughout the night that our friend loved. Our server was outstanding and even brought us champagne to toast to her birthday. Great place to celebrate a special occasion
The food and service were exceptional...I would avoid the flaming dessert though.
Service was outstanding. Great wine list, very good food. Rather noisy.
I made reservations so we could be seated at a table. They instead seated us in the bar at a high table right near the band. I asked the lady that seated us if that was all they had? No real response.
If it were not fit our waitress, Brittany Patriarca it would have been an awful dinner.
I’ve dined there before and am very disappointed.
The food is great. Service is superb.
We had a great meal and drinks. The anniversary touch was great. There were two snags, one had to do with our initial service agent. There was some mix up the service manager took care of this right away. Our server then made every effort to insure that everything went well. The snag with the food had to do with too much salt being used on our steaks. We ultimately had a wonderful experience. We most certainly will dine here again.
Eddie V's is a well known locale for upscale dining in TC. This Eddie V's is better than most of the local places. The location is convenient and the setup is comfortable. The wait staff has generally been excellent, but Mohammed is a cut above the rest. Ask for one of his tables at reservation.
We were really excited to attend Eddie V's for my mother's 50th birthday. My husband and I just moved to Tyson's and were looking forward to going out to dinner with my parents. We arrived at the dinner 15 minutes early and checked in with the hostess. The hostess recommended that we wait at the bar, as our table was almost ready and she would come to seat us when they were ready. We waited at the bar for over an hour. The hostess did not come and get us, after checking in with her two separate times after we originally sat down. Our bartender had to finally retrieve her and say we were ready. Once we got to our table and ordered we waited an additional 90 minutes for our meal to arrive (it was approximately 60 minutes after our appetizers). While I understand Friday nights are busy and my family (5) isn't the only patrons at the restaurant- waiting extended periods of time multiple times when we already had a reservation was incredibly frustrating. Overall, when we received our food, it was delicious and our waiter was very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant if timeliness is not an important factor when selecting a place to eat.
Great food, great service, and great ambiance! They made me feel so special for my birthday. My wife and I can't wait to go again.
Great evening - seafood tower, amazing sea bass and delicious filet mignon, not to mention the truffle Mac n Cheese and lobster mashed potatoes. Keep up the excellent food and atmosphere!!!
Anniversary, was greeted with s Rose which was very special
Aida our service was great! Nice, friendly accommodating and professional! Thanks
Amazing food, exceptional service and a top notch experience.
Great experience, would definitely come back.
Service was awesome.
Delicious food and great service. Also enjoyed the live music.
This was my 2nd visit. Everything was OK no complaints but also no standing ovations.
Great food and service
Excellent, upscale restaurant with terrific menu, great and friendly service, nice wine list, delicious food (lobster and steak is outstanding). BUT... the music. Live jazz! I don't mean some sexy cool piano and a smokey voice crooning some smooth Sinatra songs... Nope! A whole freakin' band playing unpleasant, loud, intrusive, solo-infused neurotic jazz. Drums that make your creme brulee jiggle. Trumpet and vocals that will mess up your hairdo. The music is so unpleasant it totally ruins an intimate dinner or a pleasant conversation, unless you're
A. A hard-core jazz fan
B. Lucky enough to sit all the way in the back semi-private area.
Music should add to ambiance. It should be setting the mood. If I want a live performance, I'd go to a club or a venue. But not over otherwise terrific meal. Change the music, Eddie V's, and we'll gladly return.
