Bar Volpe is inspired by Chef Karen Akunowicz’s years living and cooking in Italy, particularly her time as a pasta maker. She brings that passion to Bar Volpe, where guests enjoy steaming bowls of perfectly sauced pasta or visit the in-house pastificio to take home fresh pastas, sauces, and olive oil.If pasta is the heart of Bar Volpe, the wood-fired grill is its soul. Rooted in the traditions of Southern Italy, the grill imbues dishes with the elemental depth that only open flame can create. Chef Karen’s cooking - both deeply authentic and distinctly her own - has been widely praised, with Bar Volpe becoming an instant classic. In 2025, the restaurant earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand designation, recognizing its exceptional food and value.
