Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

Just opened 14 Feb 2022!Walking into Emilia’s Wood Wharf will be like entering a bustling trattoria in Italy’s Emilia Romagna region with an ambience created by natural terracotta-plastered walls bathed in natural light, rustic Iroko furniture, creamy crema marfil marble counters and hand-painted Italian tiles. Chefs making fresh pasta greet diners at the window in a special dedicated custom-made area visible from all sides. The thoughtfully designed interior cleverly combines a vibrant bar area with a custom table bocce for some competitive socialising in half the restaurant, with a cosy rustic restaurant section for more intimate moments and lingering conversations.     As lovers of fine dining, we returned to El Alquimista yesterday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent, heavenly, excellent dishes. Walter Pineda excels at crafting dishes that reflect the identity of his homeland, Peru. I can only recommend that everyone pay a visit to El Alquimista and let themselves be surprised by his culinary creativity.

    One of my favourite restaurants in London. This place never disappoints. The food, atmosphere and staff are all amazing. I never feel rushed either. I would recommend Loveshack to everyone!
