We sat on the front porch and had a lovely time. The food was outstanding.

We hadn't been back to LOH since shortly after it opened. It was great then, but now it's world class. Lewes should guard this Chef like Fort Knox guards its gold! We typically stay in Lewes en route to a longer vacation in Cape May, but I would drive the three hours from Frederick Maryland just to eat here. The cold appetizer of scallops in tomato broth with compressed watermelon, mango, and jalapeño was the best seafood dish I've eaten ever, anywhere. The Crab Imperial baked oysters had a heap of lump crab on top! The beef tartare was as good as any I've had anywhere in France. The sweet corn Ravioli with lobster had a "corn soup" filling that I almost wanted to order a bowl of! Parker House rolls show up on a lot of menus lately. Theirs sets the standard. Don't skip them! We finished with a pound cake with peaches and blueberry cobbler ice cream that was perfection, like the rest of the meal. Service: friendly, professional, and omnipresent without being in your face. The tab for all this with a very decent quality bottle of Sancerre, was $165 before tip for 2 people. That is an absolute bargain for a meal of this caliber. Lewes is a delight to visit and has always had a nice variety of food, but LOH puts this town on the culinary map!

Had an absolutely amazing meal there. The fritters were so good. The scallops were amazing. The tuna tartar was outstanding and the steamers were perfect!!! This is a must when in Lewes.

What a lovely meal in a beautiful venue! So very nice to dine in an establishment where the food and venue create a great experience! We dined on a grilled octopus appetizer and the burrata appetizer - both delish! I could not have imagined that burrata with roasted corn could be THAT amazing - yet it was! Dinner consisted of the scallop entree and the Wardroom lasagna. The lasagna's flavor fell short of expectation - I found it to be a bit bland. I would choose another entree offering - there are enough there to keep me in options for a while! A gentleman helped us navigate the extensive Italian wine list with a selection of a red blend that was chilled and AMAZING! It complimented our meal perfectly. We look forward to visiting The Wardroom again!
