With beautifully prepared leaf teas at its heart, this Philadelphia tea room celebrates the traditions of the great tea cultures, adding a dash of local flavor and some exquisitely re-imagined elements. The tea selection spans the world, from tisanes of local herbs and flowers to grand black and green teas of Asia. As an accompaniment, enjoy a selection of delightfully inspired and perfectly delicate sweets and savories with a view to seasonal ingredients and pairings with the wonderful teas served at The Rittenhouse's acclaimed tea room, Philadelphia’s best.Tea Time seatings are: 12:30pm, 1:00pm, 3:00pm, and 3:30pm every Thursday - Sunday. Reservations are required and open monthly on the 15th of the preceding month.

    Food was delicious. I had surf and turf cooked perfectly. Hubby had shrimp scampi. Our server Luke was awesome friendly and very attentive he was great ! Thank you Luke !

    The boozy tea was amazing! I highly recommend this to anyone that is on the fence. There is so much food! The tea pots are delicious and the right amount of Drink! 10/10 can’t wait to do it again!

    If you have an occasion to go, it is a must before they close their doors on November 15th! We absolutely loved going here for our anniversary and for anything special. We will miss this amazing experience!!

    We had a great time at Akwaaba Tea Salon. The food was fabulous and the service was impeccable. It was like we were having tea in the hostesses’ home! While there were numerous teas to choose from we all had the tea recommended by our hostess, great choice. In addition to great food and service the conversation were entertaining and we were given recommendations of where to eat and places o visit. Can’t wait to go back!
