The Black Horse is a typical traditional English village pub and has been a pub since at least 1761 – the Grade II listed building is 16th century.

At the Black Horse, you will find open fires, exposed beams, real ales and fantastic food and wine offering. The quality of our food is at the heart of The Black Horse, offering modern British cooking with hints of contemporary french cuisine. Our Head Chef, Martin Sheriff, and his team source ingredients and produce from local suppliers, where possible. Not only does this attest to the freshness of the ingredients, but in turn supports local farmers and suppliers, whilst reducing our carbon footprint on the environment.

We actively cater for all dietary requirements, especially gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. We also stock gluten-free beers and vegan wines.
