Seumas had often dreamt of opening a fish restaurant and in June 2007 that was exactly what he did. The doors of Gandolfi Fish opened to a warm welcome from Glasgow's foodies who were eager to taste the delights from this sleek new arrival to the Merchant City. Gandolfi Fish features as one of Ron Mackenna's top 25 Scottish restaurants (The Herald) and has once again made the grade and been Hitlisted by The List. There's a simple elegance to the food, complemented by clean, modern lines and floor-to ceiling windows that allow diners to watch the Merchant City go by. Smart and comfortable, Gandolfi Fish will suit anyone who enjoys the fruits of the sea.

The food was excellent - although the choice was perhaps a bit limited (mind you the name of the restaurant does suggest it will be mainly seafood!). Service was very good and we did not feel rushed or cramped. Quite pricey, so not the place to go just for a last minute family meal out. However we'll be back!

Fabulous food served by friendly staff. The restaurant was recommendeded to us as we love fish & high quality food. Everything was perfect. A great meal.

We visited Gandolfi once again on Saturday and as before we were very pleased with food,service and overall value. I would recommend to anyone looking at first class hospitality!!!

Seven of us met from various parts of Ayrshire / Renfrewshire. I had been previously when my son had his wedding celebration there and was most impressed. It did not let us down. Excellent presentation, service and food was delicious. All 7 of us were happy with our choice, which doesn't happen very often!!

The food was good ingredients and interesting but not over elaborate arrangements. Wise list was OK but could have been wider. Service was informal but friendly

My family and I went to Gandolfi Fish for dinner; there was 6 of us and we were given a booth. Both the food and the service was wonderful. The only criticism was that the portions were a wee bit too large for me....my starter of calamri would have fed 2 people. There was such a delicious choice on the menu; it was hard to choose! Everyone loved their food and the specials were fabulous too which my husband enjoyed. Staff were friendly and welcoming...we will be back and we would recommend. Thank you for a fabulous evening, xx

Efficient and attentive service with a natural, easy manner. We were made to feel very welcome. Thoroughly recommended and we look forward to returning.

Ate here with 2 friends. Staff were very welcoming and polite. Food was delivered promptly and was absolutley delicious. Good central location and will definately return!

We booked this whilst we were staying in the city, it came highly recommended . It did not disappoint - we visited on a Monday night over the Xmas period . The restaurant was busy for a Monday night with a mixed clientele - couples, friends , families. The staff were cheery and helpful and the restaurant has a nice cosy atmosphere. Not pretentious just a nice place to eat. We chose off the set menus - 2 for £15.95 or 3 for £17.95 and we couldn't manage a desert. Food is fab and drinks are reasonable. Would highly recommend a visit.
