Our guests may park anywhere in the Desert Botanical Garden public lot. We recommend you park near the entrance, the center parking lot sidewalk is a good landmark.

Bus Route 56 (Priest Drive) serves the Garden directly, with a stop approximately a 10-minute walk from the main entrance. Guests traveling by light rail can exit at the Priest Drive/Washington Street station and transfer to northbound Bus Route 56 toward Desert Botanical Garden. Alternatively, Bus Route 17 (McDowell Road) stops at McDowell Road and Galvin Parkway, approximately a 12-minute walk from the entrance. Perfect night with amazing food! The patio area was great. It was quiet so you enjoyed the desert night and the service was friendly. The food was fantastic!

We dined outside as quieter. We were greatest enthusiastically and warmly. Out Server was terrific. She answered all our questions and was warm and professional. Good was outstanding. We had the Avocado Fries, salmon and Short ribs wirh Mole. I will go back and Not just because I want to visit the garden but because the food and Experience were superb. I am happy and excited.

Great hamburger with green chilies. Tacos were good but not great and very good egg salad sandwich. Prices are high but can’t beat the nice patio and views.

Thank you Gertrude’s by Tarbell Team! We had a lovely afternoon for “Take your Hero to lunch” yesterday. Allowed us a beautiful venue, attentive but not intrusive service, and delicious food, to express our gratitude for a Doc that went above and beyond for us! You guys are awessssome!

We have always enjoyed Gertrude’s for ambiance stellar amidst the Phoenix Botanical Gardens! Last night as usual the service was excellent. We were extraordinarily disappointed with our meals which were clearly sub-par. The ceviche was like nothing I have ever seen or tasted, there was not one green thing no herbs nothing just a milky type ginger lemon sauce, bitter and distasteful. The shrimp was cooked and dice up in the sauce that was clear not a traditional ceviche. My husbands Duck Confit tacos were lifeless and all dried out he choked them down as we had a later reservation and we were hungry! Our friends from Seattle we also noticeably disappointed with their plate but they were very polite not be derogatory as they were our guests last night. Not sure why the food was below average but it was. They each had a cocktail and they were delicious as I was offered a taste, thankfully good. Please please figure this out we are willing to try again in the future but not with guests again until, if and when things improve with the food.

Our salads--recommended by our waiter--were beyond delicious. The service was superb. We felt unbrushed, had a long and rich conversation and would happily return tomorrow.

Lovely seating on the patio. Although it was busy we had great attentive service. Avocado fries are a must and the barbacoa tacos were amazing. Loved the meal, will be back to try more off the menu!
