   Server thought sweetbreads were a type of bread! My guest has seafood allergies so menu options extremely limited. Service spotty, table not cleaned between courses Zucchini flowers spectacular, all other food mediocre.

   In the past, we’ve had great meals here, great service and great evenings. This time was just mediocre. Prices have skyrocketed considering the quality of food. It seemed the only “great” meal was my daughter’s salmon dinner on the kids menu. The octopus was incredibly salty and the kale salad was pretty dry and unexciting. Server was good but our appetizer was forgotten and needed to be requested, as our meals arrived. I’d hesitate before going again…Sadly. It used to be a fun pre-travel dinner.

   Always love this restaurant. Constantly great service , warm ambience and great food. My wife said the cheesecake was the best she’d ever eaten. The fresh tuna appetizer was the Special and it did not disappoint. We ‘ll be back.

   The Globe is our favorite restaurant that we dine out before flying back to our home in Austin, TX! We recommend the 3 course fixe menu. The crab bisque was amazing. The sable fish was cooked to perfection and the gluten free chocolate cake was incredible. Ben did a great job of taking care of us. We dine there twice a year when we visit Vancouver. We will be back in October!! Thank you to the entire Globe staff. Amazing as always!!

    Food was good as usual but the service is not up to standard, especially when paying these prices. There simply was not enough serving staff. The ones who were working were doing their best , they were almost running. Management needs to do better.

    A wonderful and rare evening where the food and wine were spot on. Great, classic service, personable hosts and a great atmosphere. Loved every minute of it and will be back for more for sure.

    Our server was attentive and made our dinner enjoyable. Live music was also very nice. Airport prices but food was very good and came out hot as it should. Nice we could go to the lounge side after and enjoy a nightcap.

    We came for the valentines pre fixed dinner and my wife was greeted with a rose. We were lead to our table where our server greeted us kindly and got us a bottle of wine. Our courses were served perfectly times after one another with short breaks in between. Everything went perfect for my wife and I’s 8th valentines together.

    We have made it a tradition to have a meal at the Globe whenever we are seeing off family or even sometimes picking up family. The food is fabulous and the staff are great. It was terrific to see they had been able to keep staff over the last couple of years, even when they had to totally shut down for a period. My favourite has always been the clubhouse but I did break tradition and try the hamburger on a Brezel Bun and it was excellent. Thanks Globe Chef's and Staff for the fabulous service and food. A frequent flyer to your restaurant.

    Lovely service and good wine but, unfortunately, two of us who shared the chicken meal ended up with gastrointestinal issues…..one of us having to get on a plane at 10am the next morning. For a $500 meal for 4, I would have expected surety in the quality of the food. And the live music, as much as it was welcomed, it was just too loud for the space and deterred quiet conversations. Safely, not my best Fairmont experience.

    I booked Holiday Pre-Fixe Experience on OpenTable (3-course lunch) for a party of four few days ago. When I arrived today, they gave me a “down sized” lunch menu. I told the server that I reserved for the Holiday Pre-Fixe lunch for party of four. And she told me it’s canceled because not many people interested in this menu (But they still have this listed on OpenTable and on their website for people to book when we went today… very misleading). We were very disappointed that the restaurant didn’t notified us beforehand at all. It was a long way drive to the airport and road condition was bad… we were just looking forward to have a good lunch with my family. We then got a menu which they said they are lack of food supply, only serving sandwiches, soup and salad… again this was very disappointing. We ordered our food and they didn’t come until half hour later, which was after other tables who came way after us got their food… I asked the server did the kitchen forget our food when our food arrived. And he answered and pointing at our lunch and said “your food is here” and he left… that’s rude. Overall the service was so so… Again very disappointed of Fairmont… it really spoiled our day. I don’t recommend this restaurant. I will never go back again.

    I love Globe @ YVR and when the opportunity to attend this tea came up, I jumped at the chance. The food, staff and experience were well worth it. As for a table by the window to enjoy the view of the mountains and airport.

    Was our Anniversary stated on OPEN TABLE. There was no attempt whatsoever to place us at a 2 seater window. We were seated in centre at a 4 seated table. Staff friendly but busy. No valet parking was a cold long walk. Meal was ok nothing special and was told no Bernsise Sauce available. Very dusappointed

    Normally the food is so good, but on my son's birthday it was terrible. Only his food was good, our steaks were burnt and mine was not cooked to how I ordered it. I had a burnt taste in my mouth the whole evening. On top of that, we were charged for a 5 year old's meal that supposed to be free because according to their website 5 and under eat for free if ordering off the kids menu which we did and I did notice realize this until later. Ambience was great but food for that price was awful. Very disappointed. Children's Dining Children 5 years of age and under eat for free when ordering from the kids menu and dining with an adult ordering an entrée from the regular menu. (I DO NO THINK OUR WAITRESS KNEW THIS) TRAINING IS VERY IMPORTANT.

    The food was quite bland and extremely expensive. The restaurant was very noisy and the service was average. We were never asked for a refill on our drinks and had to ask several times for water. We likely won’t return.

    This restaurant is not only very conveniently located inside the Fairmont Hotel (inside the Vancouver airport); it has great service and the food was scrumptious. It has a well-stocked bar with excellent cocktails and wines. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

    We went for the convenience prior to departure. Service was well paced and pleasant. But the live music was too loud in the adjacent bar area making conversation in the dining area difficult. Food was average. Nice bonus that parking was free.

    We stayed at the Fairmont @ YVR before flying out to Hawaii. The restaurant was fairly busy but the food and service was excellent. A great spot to eat, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. Worth a try!
