Gregorio's Trattoria (trat•to•RI•a, an informal restaurant or tavern serving simple Italian dishes) is a local, family-owned restaurant where we want you to feel right at home, like you're eating at our house. Our goal is to create a comfortable, warm atmosphere with consistently fresh, delicious food and amazing service. Owner Greg Kahn and staff will do everything possible to make your visit a pleasure from the moment you walk in the door. We're not a franchise restaurant, and serve only the freshest food made with locally grown ingredients whenever possible.

We are local residents who frequent this restaurant when we're in the mood for a casual Italian meal. The ambience is relaxing, the food is tasty, and the service is friendly. You can't ask for more than that from a nice neighborhood place!

We have made made reservations and gone to Gregorio’s 3 times over the past 6 months. Each time the service became worse. This last time I made a birthday reservation for 5 of us. We arrived 5 min early and sat down. We waited 30min for a server, after getting up 2x to ask for one since we didn’t even have water or menus. Server came and took our drink orders and 20min later we still had no drinks (alcoholic or non). At this point a manager came up asking how our evening was going. We gave her this direct feedback and asked for the check. We got some of our drinks, but not all prior to leaving. 1hr+ with horrible service. Sad for a place that has delicious food if you can actually get it to your table. It was a Wednesday, and the restaurant was not busy. Multiple other tables were requesting service similar to us.

Gregorio’s never fails to exceed our expectations. Ryan, our waiter was excellent in taking care of 3 seniors with varying needs. He checked on allergens, tastes, and meal desires . . . and took care to meet all needs. The food was excellent. Everyone if the staff, front to back was friendly and welcoming. We will return next trip to DC.

We had a lovely evening for our girls night out. The food was very good. The service was good and as a former restaurant owner, I was impressed that the manager came by the table to check up and make sure that everything was to our liking.

Overall, a very positive experience. We were seated promptly when we arrived at our reservation time. We did not order appetizers, but enjoyed the hot bread (a couple of different types) and marinara style dipping sauce. Our entrees were good and came out pretty quickly. The interior is all hard surfaces so probably pretty noisy when full, but at least no loud music playing at 7:00 pm on a Friday. Prices a little high for what it is, otherwise the rating would be a little higher.

I had a terrible experience at lunch today. Made my food allergies known to the server, ordered from the GF menu. My lunch salad showed up with croutons throughout. Had to go find our waiter to inform him, and by the time the replacement salad appeared, my lunch partner was almost finished eating. Restaurant was empty-maybe a sign of what was to come. Good restaurants are 'Be backs', this is a 'One and done.'

One of our orders was not submitted with the others, so we received it very late (after reminding the server it had not been presented to us with all the other meals). The booth for 8 was in a quiet spot but pretty tight for 8 adults. Servers were courteous and tried to rectify mistake in forgetting one of our orders.
