Lunch at Higgins was a wonderful experience. We had a delicious seasonal salad, pork adobo and the special beef skewer. When we asked the server about a specific wine, without asking they brought us three unmarked glasses and said "Try these and see what you like." It was a nice touch. EVERY food item, including the delicious wine we chose, was beautifully prepared and presented. My singular criticism was that our plates, once finished and set aside, were not cleared. As in, the salad plates sat on the table while our entrees were served and were not removed. That seemed odd and out of character for the otherwise very good table service. Parking is challenging. But 100% would return to Higgins.

Classic Oregon, honestly classic dining anywhere you are from. Higgins always has something to offer. Exceptional and timeless but at the same time there is always something new. Seasonality plays an important roll in the entire program from beverages to food and decor. Higgins can be as casual (at the bar) or as formal as anywhere in Portland and still have some of the best food in town. I don't have a doubt that if James Beard was still around, this is where you would find him at least once a week. Our Service was exceptional, as always, and every bite has me craving to go right back for more.

Was visiting crime out of town and this restaurant was recommended. Initially was not excited about the menu as there were not a lot of options for my wife and I. I probably should have looked at the menus prior, and probably wouldn’t have gone Fortunately the “specials” were more to our liking and they were very good and done well. I had halibut and my wife had the filet. The halibut was $60 and the filet $80. Seemed a bit steep and our server didn’t indicate the prices during her description. Overall it was it was a good experience but I did think it was a bit much when I got the bill

Our meal was wonderful and memorable. The next day, I was reliving the joy of it. Our server, Josh, was terrific and personable. I can't wait to go back.

The decor is always elegant and the flickering lights add a certain je ne sais pas. We loved seeing all of our friends who make the restaurant work like a clock but we never feel rushed.
