Our mission? Great people helping other great people totally have a blast while enjoying amazing food. Wow, that was a mouthful. But can you blame us? We’re a restaurant. One that specializes in delicious food and great times. Our goal is to make you laugh. And depending on your hot sauce tolerance, cry.

In all seriousness, we take real pride in our food. Try our Cluckin’ Fresh Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub. Our Band of Chefs are influenced by a wide variety of tastes and have travelled across the globe to gain inspiration.

But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. If you’re into at least one of those things, we should hang out.

Great food, friendly service, the birthday announcements are a bit loud, but less loud than previous time, howeever it's a Jack Astor signature so it was expected. Portions were a good size and summer menu was nice. Queso dip was delicious.

We booked a table for 4 on OpenTable to watch the World Cup Final on July 19th, and even called a day prior to modify the reservation to 6 people. The restaurant confirmed this and updated it on OpenTable (and I could see that on the account). However, when we arrived, we were told only 4 people could sit at the table due to "safety issues with adding chairs." What is the point of reserving and confirming a modification if it can't be honored? They gave us two terrible options: sit outside on the patio where we couldn't properly see the match screens, or split up our group (4 at the table, 2 at the bar). Two of our friends drove all the way from Kitchener to Pickering just so we could watch the game together, but we spent the entire time separated. It completely ruined the experience, so we decided to minimize our food order and leave right after the match. > As for the food, it was a mixed bag. Some items were fine, but the spinach and artichoke dip was completely tasteless. The beer also tasted incredibly watered down, forcing us to switch to other drinks. While the service was very slow (40 minutes for basic appetizers), I can overlook that part since it was an exceptionally busy game day. However, splitting up a pre-confirmed reservation ruined our entire plan and we felt extremely horrible - and we couldnt do anythin much about it coz at that point of time, all the pubs on the planet were probably full. It was a waste of an afternoon we deeply wish we had booked somewhere else.

Visited last night for the Argentina vs Switzerland game and was genuinely disappointed with the experience. We had planned this outing specifically for the match, and unfortunately the evening fell short in almost every way. The service was extremely slow, we waited over 30 minutes just to receive four beers, which were simply cans that needed to be opened. The food arrived cold, and the nachos were noticeably different from what we've had before. What made the experience worse was the manager's response when we raised our concerns. Rather than acknowledging the wait or offering any goodwill, he was dismissive and blunt, essentially telling us there was nothing he could do because the place was busy. Being busy is understandable, but a simple acknowledgment or gesture goes a long way. That kind of attitude is what truly left a bad impression. We were in good spirits and just wanted to enjoy the game. A little customer care would have made all the difference. Sadly, for the price we paid, we could have had a much better experience elsewhere. Will think twice before returning.

Don’t waste your time making a reservation, Jacks doesn’t honour it. Made a reservation for the bar for 3:15 and showed up on time and was told bar is full. I’m not sure what the point of having a reservations system in place. I’m guessing they just want people showing up at the start of a game and then you’re stuck because no one wants to miss something exciting. We went to watch a World Cup match and I knew it would be busy and they don’t take reservations over the phone which is fine. I made a reservation online earlier in the day and didn’t give it a second thought. So when I got there, I was seated in the dining room where a 15in screens were placed on a pillar vertically, which were hilariously small. When the server came, she quickly apologized and said they /Jacks , simply seat people, first come first serve and don’t check reservations for sporting events. I was like really? So apparently if you want to watch a baseball game/ football/ basketball or like us, World Cup match, your best bet is to go an hour early and just wait. We stayed till halftime and left. Don’t learn your lesson the hard way- stay away for sporting events or just know that the reservation system is ignored-Daniel

The food and service was really good! Went with my husband and kids for dinner, not sure if they updated their menus but I noticed they had calamari again and also I had the hunters chicken that’s was amazing! Would definitely order it again, the vibe in there was really nice, so nice I didn’t even get to snap a pic of my meal! Will be back soon :)
