   I have only dined at Landmark Restaurant in the Warwick Melrose Hotel Dallas on Easter Sunday or on Mothers Day when they are very busy and typically feature a Sunday brunch buffet with many selections. New Years 2023 brunch offered a very limited selection from a menu. My female friend and I waited a few minutes for someone to appear at the reception station even during the noon hour, but as I was about to call the hotel to request someone come to the station, a receptionist appeared. We were ready to order for some time before a waiter finally appeared to take our order. I requested a wine menu and made a choice for a malbec which a waiter later said was not available, but I was far enough into my meal that I said I was no longer interested. Howeve

   Thanksgiving dinner. Second time we have come for the dinner. Very disappointed that that ran out of pumpkin pie both times and had very few desserts when we ate. We requested to sit in the bar area. There were plenty of seats, but were seated in the empty ballroom. Was looking forward to the fresh crab claws we had before. Instead there were mediocre shrimp. I wish we would have asked for a partial refund.

   Had Thanksgiving brunch, which we’ve done on and off for years. Sometimes with family, sometimes just the two of us. Hotel looked lovely. Greeted by friendly, happy people. Live music in the lobby and a nice assortment of breakfast, traditional thanksgiving and salads, snacks and dessert. Our main server was James, assisted by a few other pleasant and attentive employees. A few things missing from pre COVID such as crab claws and huge ice sculpture, but we were just glad to be there and thought the team did a great job in every way. A little pricey at just under $200 before tip. But felt very welcoming and festive. Other patrons were also on good behavior and we had not one complaint. Thank you and good job Melrose Thanksgiving crew🦃

   At the Landmark Cafe, from the valet to the receptionist to the waiters, all are professional, courteous, and on the ball. It is a pleasure to enjoy their service - a very rare commodity today in more Dallas restaurants that Dallas would care to admit. I plan to return to the Landmark often.

    Service was very slow and the restaurant had very few tables. Food was not hot. Warm at best. Not a good value given slow slow service. I was very disappointed.

    The service was horrible. There were only 4 other tables with customers and it took 20 minutes to just get water and another 20 to order mimosas and at least another 15 to get the mimosas (not a hard drink to make)I had to ask someone to find a waiter or waitress after another 15 minutes. They also brought the salads WITH the entrees. The food was tasty but the 20% gratuity that was already added to the bill was not earned.

    Totally disappointing!! Will not be returning nor referring to anyone we know. Menu/service/food presentation/short staffed service and inaccurate info on online menu for breakfast/brunch was unacceptable! Even with only 3/4 tables occupied service was slow and not much adjustments could’ve made for vegetarian options! We could have got the breakfast served to us at any mediocre restaurant in Dallas!!

    This is one of my Wifes favorite places for Mother's Day. The food is special, the seating is fantastic. The wait staff is first class. All this creates a very pleasant experience. For this reason we have visited on many occasions and will be back next year.

    We have been dining at The Landmark for special occasions and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Easter for several years now. We have always enjoyed the food and service until this Easter. A few hours after our Easter Brunch we both became very ill and it lasted through the night. I emailed the hotel today and I received a very cold response from the general manager. We are very disappointed and based on the response from the general manager, it is unlikely we will return.

    We had breakfast on a Sunday and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Breakfast items are very standard hotel breakfasts, but everything was prepared well and coffee was nice and hot!

    Occasion: Sunday brunch with my niece before taking her to her first opera at The Dallas Opera. Service was practically non existent. The restaurant was basically empty with only one other table besides ours. While our waitress was very nice, she disappeared for extended periods of time. Food was delivered by someone else and no one checked on us until well after we were finished eating. I recommended The Landmark because it has been one of my favorites in the past. I’m not sure what has happened, because it was empty and showing a slightly frayed/worn edge during this visit. I was slightly shocked at the lack of service. The food was good but not really a stand out.

    The dining room was completely empty except for one other table (Sunday brunch the day after Christmas), guess that should have been a sign. Our party of five stood there waiting until a flustered server finally showed up and sat us… no “hello” or “welcome” - in fact, he seemed annoyed we were there. Another 25 minutes before we got drinks, 45 minutes before we got food after ordering, we had to go seek the second server out to get more drinks. We were never checked on or offered coffee or dessert, and as we were finishing up, a cleaning crew began noisily cleaning around us….Sweeping, dusting, clanging dishes and utensils. It was awful. I complained to the front receptionist but she did not appear to care, and I have never received a follow-up. STEER CLEAR.

    Sara the hostess and Gene our server were impeccable and pleasant. The Sunday brunch menu was somewhat limited, but not disappointing, and we enjoyed what we ordered. The atmosphere is so elegant. I’ve coming here off and on for Sunday brunch for years, and will continue to do app. I do hope the deviled eggs appetizer is brought back!

    Clearly they were having some sort of acute staffing crisis. One harried waitress at 0900 on a weekday. People were walking out of the restaurant to the "free" coffee in the hall for hotel guests to get coffee for themselves. We left after 15 minutes; in that time we had a menu delivered, and cups for coffee delivered (but no coffee). We never actually placed an order for food. This wasn't the fault of the poor lady working there; she just needed some help. Fortunately there was a Snooze just down the street.

    Pleasantly surprised how good it was. Was extremely disappointed they canceled the Buffet this year and went to a pre-fixed 3 course plated meal. However, it was handled well, food was good, service was good and value was excellent.

    Great breakfast after an overnight stay in the hotel, restaurant was empty we were the only guest there. Service was great, our waiter gave us the perfect amount of attention without hovering since we were his only table.

    The brunch menu on Open Table is completely inaccurate. There current brunch menu is basically the equivalent of a room service menu. Three out of five people order pancakes. They were horrible! They were suppose to be buttermilk pancakes but they were the texture of cake that had been over cooked and the batter was the color of a bran muffin. There was no amount of syrup that could make them edible. On a more positive note, the folks who ordered eggs were pleased so I guess that’s something. Regardless, at the very least it’s time to update the menu on Open Table.

    First off, despite staying the night and telling them I was having brunch on this day we get there and there's no brunch. We were told it's only on Sundays. No where is that indicated that it is solely on Sundays when I call they said it was Mother's Day brunch. Anyway, they need to make it clear. However, Sarah saved the day and got us breakfast. I was panicking and she was able to pull together a breakfast for us so we could still eat. ❤️ I do hope that they get back on their feet post-covid and back to great.

    First time back since COVID so it was fairly empty.. about 5 tables occupied. Took my 93 year mother for Mother’s Day lunch. I had a reservation and had asked for a nice window table. When we entered, the woman at the reservation desk was totally unfriendly. When I told her I had a reservation and had requested a table by a window, of which there were several, she took us to a window table BY THE KITCHEN that looked out on an active construction site. The lighting for lunch was low and made the whole restaurant look dreary. Our waiter was pleasant, but seemed stressed and was sweating profusely. We sat for about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence. I’m not giving it a lower rating because my sweet mother, who has Alzheimer’s, thought it was all wonderful...and that’s all I really cared about. Probably won’t go back.

    Fine if you are a hotel guest looking for a convenient bite, but not some place you'd want to go out of your way for. Indifferent (borderline hostile) service, strangely stiff, possibly frozen pancakes, valet parking that will make you wish you were sitting in traffic on the freeway instead.

    The valet was rude and asked us to park our own cars while laughing at us. The valet also made inappropriate comments to my family with 5 children about our appearance and background claiming “here comes miss america” laughing at us and making snide remarks to my party of 11. We dress up for holidays so we were confused why we were profiled as “miss America” and treated like trash. Our reservation was an hour and a half behind upon arrival with no accommodations made. We had to eat at the bar area on banquet tables that the kind bar staff had to set up makeshift in the middle of the library bar. We were told we had a set menus as we did at thanksgiving and that was not true. I have had great experiences in the past but after this last visit we will never be visiting again. No manager came to apologize and we waited two hours with children. Absolutely disgusted.

    Actually had to visit the Library Bar for service. I was cheerfully accommodated. The menu was somewhat limited but offered a good variety.. The hotel is especially an escape from the recent severe winter weather and continued issues in the area.
