Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar in Duluth, Minnesota has been around since 1991, back when Canal Park was better known as an industrial harbor rather than a tourist location. The interior at Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar has a cozy feel to it, thanks in large part to the reclaimed lumber used for the tables, booths and bar as well as thriving plants. When the weather is nice, you can dine on our deck, furnished with Loll patio furniture made locally. We are a small restaurant, limited to 15 tables and 70 seats indoors. Because of this we are not able to accommodate groups larger than 8 people. If your party is larger than 8 people, please understand that your group may be split at separate tables, potentially not near each other. Please call us to discuss accommodating your large group events.Due to the invariability of Duluth weather, our deck is non-reservable (with or without dogs) and subject to be closed without much notice. We seat the patio on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    We had a wonderful dining experience at Lake Avenue Restaurant and Bar during our recent trip to Duluth! We started with the wings, which were delicious. My wife had the chimichurri burger, and I had the pot roast special. Both meals were excellent! The drinks were outstanding, and the staff was friendly and attentive. This was hands down the best meal we had during our stay in Duluth! Great food, excellent service, and a fantastic overall experience. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

    Excellent Bloody Mary - great spice/flavor profile. Brunch was DELICIOUS! Our server, Rayna, was lovely and attentive. Omelets and eggs benedict were outstanding. Highly recommend.

    We went here for our anniversary and everything was spectacular! I decided to start off with the Pumpkin Espresso Martini (desert first)! The roasted pear and burrata salad was so delicious. I chose the Chilean sea bass for my entree, and then we shared roasted brussels sprouts. The fish was perfectly cooked and the orange basil beurre blanc sauce was amazing. The ambience was romantic with classic dinner music playing. The waitress (Heather) was delightful and so attentive. The manager ( Dave) came by to fill our waters and ask how our dinner was. We had a great conversation with him and told him we will definitely be back! This restaurant is inside the Cobblestone Hotel. We are thinking of coming back for dinner and stay over night to drive up the north shore the next day. Thank you Wissota Chophouse for a memorable anniversary dinner!!! Highly recommend!
