Handmade authentic Italian served in a historic building in the tiny town of Mingus, TEXAS. Located halfway between Fort Worth, Texas and Abilene, Texas. Look for the Smokestack and just off I20, exit 367 and head north. As part of our nonprofit, the Each and Everyone Foundation, Beneventi’s Italian was founded to sell meals with meaning and a mission. Our emphasis, besides serving great authentic Italian food based on old family recipes, is to serve as an on the job training setting for Adults with intellectual disabilities. Our setting includes the restaurant, Sweet Loretta’s Beer, Wine and Coffee Bar, tiny houses, fresh produce we often grow in our gardens.. We prepare handmade Lasagna, Gnocchi and rustic hand tossed pizza along with weekly specials. Come sit a spell, enjoy this historical country setting and support our mission by having a meal in Mingus, Texas (NOT Norman,Oklahoma).

At Thompson’s Tex-Ken Ranch Steakhouse, we are deeply committed to the true farm-to-table experience. All of our beef is locally raised at the Tex-Ken Ranch in Bluff Dale, Texas, where we take great pride in ensuring that our cattle are free from hormones and antibiotics, delivering the highest quality meat both nutritionally and ethically. They are then processed in-house at our state-inspected facility, Thompson’s Custom Meats in Dublin, Texas. Steaks are cooked over a wood burning grill using Hardwood also sourced from the Tex-Ken Ranch.     We have been visiting The Seeker since it opened. The GM, Andrea, greeted us immediately and made us feel more than welcome. The menu has changed somewhat since we were last there, and their rendition of the chicken-fried steak was one of the best we've ever had. My partner ordered the scallops and shrimp. The only miscue was the brussels sprouts being too salty. The waiter overheard our conversation, and the next thing you know, the GM is delivering a fresh order with minimal salt. Brussels sprouts are really hard to cook right, but The Seeker has this down pat. The evening was so enjoyable that we ordered dessert, and the pound cake was to die for. If you are thinking about going, go!

    Excellent made-from-scratch menu and a wonderful little place in Mingus. Their mission of helping develop work skills for the challenged is truly God’s work. The food and service is icing on the cake.

    I have been a patron of Soggy Dog for two years. It is absolutely the best food and atmosphere. The employees make everyone feel like a friend. I highly recommend ut.
