The service and the food were excellent. We love the atmosphere as well. If you want great service and great food, this is the place for you.

Good food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. Steak (8 Oz filet) and salmon were good. Salmon was cooked a bit more done than I prefer. Topping for salmon was good. Baked potato was excellent and the 1875 house salad was ok. Whipped butter should be traded out for real butter in a fine dining restaurant like this.

Outstanding choice for our 25th anniversary! THE VENUE IS ONE-OF-A-KIND. Our early evening dinner allowed us to see the changes of the dome lighting as dusk fell. The staff was SUPERB. Our gourmet entrees (steak and salmon) and dessert (West Baden Chocolate Dome) were EXCEPTIONAL. (The menu also includes sandwiches, salads, etc.) There was a large conference being served across the Atrium and music being played in another area -- and the noise level was moderate to quiet! We could talk with each other at a normal talking voice. Make a reservation!

When spending a night in Evansville we made dinner reservations at Madeline’s. The restaurant had just recently reopened after renovations and is looking a quaint old section of town. What a wonderful decision this was. The chefs are preparing each dish with great detail and a unique flavor profiles of Southern, Asian and European fusion that will make you smile. The lamb shank was cooked perfectly and very tender while the shrimp with mole had you dipping bread into sauce as not to miss any of its richness and wonderful flavors. The crème brûlée was an appropriate sized portion with fresh peach slices on top as an extra touch. When in Evansville don’t miss this gem of a restaurant you will be happy you did. It was one of the nicest meals we’ve had in a very long time.
