A beautiful, somewhat casual atmosphere in a "lodgey" setting. Music (easy listening/soft rock) level was perfect for conversation. The bar is very inviting with cowhide backed barstools & an on-point bartender. William was the perfect host for introducing us to Black Prong as this was our first time here. Actually, the entire staff was all very warm & pleasant. Our dinner was perfect! We both had the tenderloin which cut like butter - cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were homemade & the fresh green beans were cooked to a warm, crisp perfection. Even the gravy (served on the side) was very tasty. We ordered the homemade sourdough bread which came on a cutting board with wedges of real butter. We had dessert - key lime pie & creme brulee, both garnished with fresh fruit, a bit of cream & 2 macaroons. I tried a craft cocktail - Kentuckey Cocoa - which was delish!! I had 2!! The only thing that wasn't perfect - our dinners took a little time to get to our table but it wasn't "I'm so mad I'm going to complain & never go back" late. Our waiter was aware & apologized. Honestly, maybe 10 minutes past the perfect serving time. Black Prong holds special events like Murder Mystery Dinners, Commedians & live music. The overnight accommodations include quaint cottages & an area for RV's. The best thing (besides the awesome restaurant!) is the setting! It's beautiful, surrounded by 53,000 acres of the Goethe State Forest. Plenty of trails to hike, bike or horse back ride. I HIGHLY recommend Black Prong! It's a bit of a drive, but that's part of its charm. It's beautiful scenery all the way. And Sunday, drinks are 1/2 off!! Perfect!!

We had a delicious dinner with great service. Very enjoyable.

We had family visiting with us for Father’s Day. Everyone enjoyed the experience- from the lobster sliders appetizer to the salads, entree and decadent desserts. 👍👍👍
