Welcome to Sugar Boat - a relaxed & informal neighbourhood bistro in the heart of the town on Colquhoun Square, a stones throw from the sea front. We are open daily from 7.30am (8.30am on Saturday & 9am on Sunday's) through until late.     Perfect location for a delicious evening meal. View from conservatory is stunning over the Lake . Food amazing as is the service. One of our favourite places for a quiet, romantic date night ❤️

    We've been eating at the Knipoch for special occasions since it opened last year and love the venue, staff and ambience. This time we felt the lunch menu was not as good as on previous occasions. This may be due to the fact that they don't have many lunch visitors but if I had just dropped in on spec I don't think I'd go back. It didn't seem to be due to lack of staff, Becky and Mark served us and they worked hard to make our time enjoyable. There was a new Summer menu which was quite limited. We will definately go back because of the relationship we have developed with the hotel and staff. We hope others who may be similarly disapointed will give them a second chance.
