I booked the table for 4 as my brother was visiting and we were all very impressed

As always great food and great service in a lovely setting. Cornish Mussels in Cider excellent.

There was a mix up with our table when we arrived but it was resolved satisfactorily by the manager. The ambience was pleasant enough and buzzy. If you’re looking for an extensive menu then this isn’t the pace for you. A few classics and a whole flatbread menu (it was dinner so we didn’t go for the latter). Oddly, there were reasonably priced burgers alongside steaks priced at nearly £40, so the identity of this restaurant doesn’t really hang together very cohesively, like it doesn’t know what it wants to be. Starters were overpriced and the courgette flower fritters numbered 1 on a plate where I would have expected at least four, so that portion size was very disappointing. The arancini, scotch egg and halloumi toastie were tasty, although the egg yolk would tend to arrive be runny not set in a slightly more elevated restaurant. The food was well presented though and the accompaniments well thought through to match the dishes, which isn’t always the case. We also had a decent glass of red and a Prosecco.

We had a lovely meal outside in the sun. Very good, friendly service.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived and shown to our table, service throughout was not rushed and always delivered with a smile. We could not fault the meal, the portion sizes were adequate, food arrived at the table well presented and the flavours were not too overwhelming. The restaurant was not too busy, the ambiance was wonderful, there was music playing and not too loudly, lots of items decorating the restaurant without looking cluttered and subtle mood lighting, great setting looking out over the beach and sea. Prices were on par with similar restaurants, although the only one criticism was the price of the fish cake starter, as tasty as it was, at £12 we thought a bit steep. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant, would definitely visit again, unfortunately we live to far away.
