We are dog friendly but have limited space for our furry friends please let us know when booking to avoid disappointment.

The Old Quay House is uniquely located on the edge of the RSPB Hayle Estuary, with its beautiful views and wildlife to enjoy. We offer a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for couples and families alike. We are open daily from 11.30am, serving lunch from 12pm and dinner from 6pm (times may change during busy periods - food not served all day). Our menu includes a great selection of traditional and contemporary English dishes, including pie of the day, fish & chips, as well as several scrumptious fish dishes like seafood kebabs. During lunchtime you can also choose from lighter options like sandwiches and salads.We also have a children's menu to select from, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. We have a real heart for showcasing a side of Italian cuisine and culture that is often lost amongst what's more frequently seen in the Uk.Seasonal plates paired with a carefully chosen, full-Italian wine list of over 150 wines (on rotation), daily made homebaked bread and desserts. Community and family at the forefront of how we shape our menus. The style of our service reflects this, multiple plates for the table to share, that come when they're ready, in no set order.Open for coffee and serving fresh made sandwiches for lunch, six days a week, however we only take reservations for dinner.

    Really lovely restaurant. The staff were more than helpful and welcoming to our party. We had a dog and 3 OAPs in the party and the team made everyone feel comfortable. The food/wine was delicious. For a Friday night in November it was fuller than I had predicted which was lovely to see. One of our party said it was the best sole he had ever had.

    The beef carpaccio was outstanding – fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. The trio of lamb was equally exceptional, tender and perfectly cooked. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended – a must-try if you visit!

    Really lovely restaurant. Great service. Lovely helpful staff. I didn't realise they no longer do gluten free pizzas, but they managed to find me a gf base as they had recently hosted a wedding and there was one left over. We all really enjoyed our pizzas. It's so lovely to have it back open again. Will definitely go back and try one of their gf options or just to have a drink. It was only noisy because of the live music.
