On the rooftop of downtown’s stylish NoMad Hotel is an expansive pool, bar and café space. It has the aesthetic of a Mediterranean villa and the vibe of an exclusive all-day soiree. Know that the pool and loungers are for hotel guests only, but the public is welcome to drink, dine and enjoy the rooftop from morning until night. The café offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The all-day menu features light bites like whipped fava bean hummus, crudites and burrata with marinated radishes. Some more substantial options include crispy fish tacos, fried chicken and a classic burger. The NoMad Rooftop’s bar program, which focuses on playful tropical cocktails and tiki drinks, is a major draw. So are the incredible views across downtown from 12 stories up.

The fine-dining restaurant occupies the 71st floor of the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles, one of the tallest buildings in California. Views from its dining room, itself a visual stunner reminiscent of a midcentury art gallery, span the entire west side as far as the Pacific.
