You may know her from her big win in 2007 on hit TV show American Idol. Recently, she’s been pursuing some different passions of hers involving food. She began her own sweet and savory baking show called Heart of the Batter. From classic recipes passed down from her grandma to trendy new creations, she’s perfected it all. In addition to making her own creations, she’s had the chance to try some amazing food all across the nation - and lucky us, she filled us in on her go-to eateries. We encourage you to try some of her favorite foodie spots all across the nation.

Such a great spot next time you're in NYC for a Broadway show. I went there often while I was performing with In The Heights. It’s right in the heart of the theater district and is always so good for a quality Italian meal. The penne Bolognese is one of my favorite things on the menu.

Delicious pasta.

The Mesquite Grilled Palacios Redfish is the best redfish I've ever tasted. On the way out they give you fresh pralines - yum! There is so much to love about this place. One cool dessert tip - if you order the banana foster they make it tableside for you and it's delicious.

Muy buen lugar, un ambiente de Nueva Orleans muy bien logrado y la comida deliciosa. Excelente para un brunch dominical.

One word - meatballs! Also, six words – twenty-layer peanut butter chocolate cake! Lavo has such a great atmosphere and is the perfect spot to go when on vacation in Vegas. I crave both of these signature Lavo dishes and always get them whenever I have the opportunity to dine there.

The sushi here is so fresh and the restaurant is just minutes from the water. I love just getting a bunch of different kinds of sashimi. If you can, try and sit at the sushi bar and watch them prepare all of the delicious rolls.
