Ambiente agradable y entrantes muy apetecibles. Carta de pizzas ajustada pero suficiente. Muy bien condimentadas y tamaño medio grande. Te dan la opción de tu ponerle miel y otra salsa ( no recuerdo su nombre). Ambas , para nuestro gusto, mejoran el sabor de la pizza. Ahhh, gran carta de cervezas

El lugar era muy bonito, El ambiente muy bien y la atención exelente fueron muy amables con nosotros. Pero los precios de la comida muy altos, y el menú no tiene muchas opciones.

Realmente es el mejor Restaurante Japonés al que he ido, los sushis son su especialidad y los calamares fritos de entrada están espectaculares!!! La decoración sencilla pero muy elegante y la limpieza excelente, la atención en especial del mesero Pepe, excelente!!! Volveré cada vez que tenga oportunidad

Fue una experiencia unica y especial, fuimos a celebrar nuestro aniversario mi novio y yo, y todo fue excepcionalmente perfecto, desde que subes el elevador y vez como vas subiendo tan rapido, hasta que llegas a la cima de Top Vancouver, no hay palabras para explicar el como se ve la vista desde arriba, las fotos no son nada a comparación de lo que realmente se siente estar ahi arriba, es una experiencia unica que todo mundo deberia de sentirla.

The Old Surrey Restaurant is Surrey’s best well- kept secret. Built in 1918, it was the residence of Lou Jack and his household until it was converted into a restaurant in 1974.

The interior has a crisp, clean aesthetic that is enhanced by hardwood floors and the enlarged photos of historic Surrey that adorn the walls. There are five distinct dining areas on the top floor (including a cozy library) and a banquet facility downstairs. The cuisine is French with a splash of West Coast flare. A treat for new and seasoned guests alike are the signature dishes that are prepared and flambeed tableside.

The restaurant is family owned and operated since 1975. Since 1984 the restaurant has entered into a partnership with the family farm in Ryder Lake overlooking Chilliwack from the nearby mountains. The Old Surrey is well known for its free-range lamb and veal allowing customers to enjoy fresh organic ingredients.

El nombre del restaurante, L'Abattoir, rinde homenaje a su pintoresco pasado, pues está ubicado en la zona histórica de Gastown, entre Gaoler's Mews y Blood Alley, fue construido en el siglo XIX en el emplazamiento de la 1ª cárcel de Vancouver y originalmente lindaba con la principal carnicería de la ciudad y el distrito de la carne. El restaurante ocupa un edificio reformado de ladrillo y vigas de madera que combina azulejos clásicos franceses con elementos industriales y madera natural y cuenta con bar salón, comedor elevado, atrio lujoso con mucha luz y comedores privados. El chef Lee Cooper y el propietario y director Paul Grunberg se esmeran en destacar los puntos fuertes de comer y beber en el ambiente informal de L'Abattoir. El servicio, elegante pero sin pretensiones, está orquestado por el encargado general Ricardo Ferreira. Los platos, típicos de la costa oeste y con influencias francesas, se acompañan con la ecléctica carta de vinos, diseñada por la directora de vinos Lisa Haley, y la innovadora carta de cócteles para crear una experiencia culinaria exclusiva.

Este es un restaurante recomendado en la Guia Michellin. No entiendo por qué. El menú del chef costaba 160 dólares más 170 si se pareaba con vinos premium. En esta página decía que el costo era 130 dólares. No lo pedimos. Mis hijas pidieron una tarta de alcachofa de primero y de segundos pollo y pez espada. Ambos muy bien presentados pero nada cercano a lo excepcional en sabor. Una mesa de mujeres gritaba hasta hacer inaudible nuestra conversación. Quizá haya que visitarlo para desmentir mi opinión.
