Hidden gem Started off with some old fashioned cocktails as recommendation, by far the best you will find in London at £5 each😮. No starters, we went for the the platter for 2 which they adapted for 3 with no issues. Sides of bread with gravy(top notch), winter salad (great) and chips. They add some delicious bread underneath the meat platter which absorbs the juices and really makes it worth while visiting again. A memorable and enjoyable experience. Luxury dining and service for three £92.50, more than acceptable for the standard we received. Menu was a bit confusing but the staff member explained it well, only regret is not ordering some ribs. More

Very good tapas bar. A bit pricey, but not crazy. Really good service and great dishes and wine. The only gripe I have is the noise level. The acoustics are dreadful and for some reason they play music on top of this, so hard to carry on a conversation. Because of this, I sadly won’t be back. More

Lunch for two with four dishes, and two desserts to share... well, when we finished I was ready to start again. Delicious, tasty, light and clean flavor! Definitely to repeat. Unlike most places in Shoreditch these days, the staff were welcoming and unpretentious and the service was top notch. Good value for money and interesting variety of food and music rather than just the generic fare you oten get. Good diversity of staff and clientelle which is more representative of the general London population. Will definitely go back and have sold it to my friends and colleagues as I work close by. More

Red Dog is a well known American diner chain with ridiculously good feel good food. Burgers are incredibly tasty and the homemade sauces are brilliant too. Staff were super friendly and fun. More

I had been looking forward to eating at Merchants Tavern for a long time. I went at the last minute for lunch with my daughter on Saturday. The restaurant was almost empty but they sat us next to the noisy restocking of the wine racks, which went on through our lunch with the added excitement of a bottle falling and ending at our feet. The chefs (who are on view in the open kitchen) were all busy prepping for dinner and our lunch was nowhere to be seen until after over half an hour later we reminded them of our starter nibbles which we had hoped to enjoy with the wine. My daughters vegetarian main option was good, but I had the lobster spaghettini which was full of lobster as well as a heavy handed dose of chilli. It was a shame as it obliterated what I think was a lovely bisque at the bottom of the bowl. The staff are charming and friendly, and did discount our starters from the bill. All in all I was a bit disappointed. More
