Thoroughly enjoyed our celebratory dinner. Every dish we ordered was delicious and the service was terrific!
Fantastic breakfast - the pastrami hash was one of the most delicious dish I had in my NYC vacation!
Fabulous. Food was delicious and tasted so fresh. I ordered the chicken which was very moist. He had the duck which he said was the best duck he ever had. We had the artichoke and st Louis ribs for an appetizer also delicious. I ordered a side of broccolini which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was my boyfrinds birthday. They gave us complimentary champagne and put a candle in his dessert which was a very nice touch. The service was excellent. They make you feel special. Overall a great place. A bit expensive, but totally worth it.
While our dinner was delicious, we were very put off by the service staff. We ran a little late and the hostess was rude about it. Then our server didn’t put much effort into making us feel comfortable and acted like we were an inconvenience. Above all, our dining experience was tarnished by the reminders of our table’s “out time” making us feel rushed even though we were pacing along on time.
Wonderful food, wonderful service. Beautiful rustic-meets-Williamsburg ambiance. Pro tip: do NOT arrive too early for your reservation. Waiting space is not ample.
It was fine, but didn’t impress. Had scallops, yellowtail tartare, burrata, duck. All good, just wasn’t GREAT.
The tasting menu is an absolute must! I have had it twice now and It was phenomenal both times -- such delicious, real foods and such interesting variety! It's very filling-- come hungry!
Need to fix thermostat. Either too hot or too cold
Very good food, very nice service. I definitely recommend!
We ordered the special for the night. An in-house, aged 18 oz ribeye with two sides for two. Mashed potato and onion rings. The cook on the ribeye was off as the fat was not rendered correctly. We sent it back and they cooked it longer. It came back and better. With that being said, the best part of the entre was the onion rings.
Great service... even better food. Will be back.
Say yes to the burrata, octopus, scallops and linguine. Although the rib eye special for two sounded damn good, I wanted to try all of the yummy things on the starter menu - which seemed stronger than the mains to me. Portion sizes mean 2 starters = 1 main. Nice that there's a tokaji on the menu --- but what are you really supposed to have it with? Service was the perfect balance of attentive and let me enjoy my meal. No delays in bringing out the next dish, but not rushed either. Great food in a laid back vibe.
Food was very good service was wonderful very nice place nice ambience my wife and I really enjoyed it
Food and service were beyond our expectations. The Michelin star has been well-earned. Will be back again and again.
I had been to the restaurant before and this time brought a client. We were not greeted well, coats left hanging on the chairs (before they had checked them). The waitress continuously interrupted my friend whenever he was speaking because I guess her news was very important for us? For a Michelin star restaurant, it did not live up to the standards we expect. Not sure what happened.
Great atmosphere, amazing, well-balanced food! Ate here for brunch - good selection of dishes, with mostly egg based dishes. Great value, prices are not bad for Williamsburg brunch! Especially a Michelin starred restaurant. Would recommend!
Meadowsweet has easily become one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. All courses were executed with elegance, and perfection. The drinks are fantastic, with a nice selection of diverse signature cocktails. The service is always on point and never ceases to amaze me. We went for a friends birthday and did not mention anything about the celebration. I suppose the waitress overheard him talking about it being his birthday when she was serving us, and they brought over free glasses of champagne for us to toast with a candle in his dessert and wished him a happy birthday as well. It was very heart-warming and definitely a nice touch to end the meal. Will 100% be going back whenever i find an excuse to
Very enjoyable brunch. Fresh food, not heavy despite fried nature of some dishes we ate. A bit pricey, but not too high. Very pleasant room, some space between tables. Would certainly recommend it.
Creative but simple menu, including cocktails. Even the house drip coffee was delicious.
Service was so much better this time! Had a great dinner, thank you!
I’ve been to this restaurant several time, so my last experience was a surprise. My party charged 20% gratitude on prix plus wine for a table of 5.
Food was amazing. Everything cooked perfectly. I did the 5 course taste testing with three others and it was unbelievable. They would give 2, one dish and the other 2 would get something else. So it was more of a 10 course. U really got to enjoy alot of different food i didnt even know i liked.
The food, especially the duck pasta app was oversalted and our server was kind of annoying (sweet, but asked how the food was too many times and smiled so much it was almost uncomfortable). Overall the food was pretty good but the prices were too high for Brooklyn.
Food was pretty good, though my salmon hash brunch was salty, even for a smoked salmon hash, and the cauliflower egg dish was a little rich. The service was mixed--our waiter and hostess were very nice, but the woman at the bar was very terse and a little rude. They have a great looking menu though, so I'll probably go back to try some other items.
This is my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. Food, service, ambiance were outstanding. I will definitely go back.
We came for my husband's birthday and went for the tasting menu--we were not disappointed! Every course was more delicious than the last, from the oyster amuse bouche to the maple pannacotta with passion fruit sauce. The passion fruit sorbetto palette cleanser was an outstanding and unexpected treat. Cocktails and wine were delicious and our server was fantastic. We had such a lovely time. We'll have to come back again as the menu is updated! The tasting menu was a wonderful introduction to Meadowsweet's dishes and chef. The meal wasn't cheap but was a great value for all of the delicious treats we tried. Highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out.
Awesome food for New Years, great quality for the price, and good service. The banana bread pudding was phenomenal and the chicken was moist and well prepared. Was very impressed and would go back again in a heartbeat.
It was absolutely wonderful. Carolyn, our server, was a delight. The food, the atmosphere, and EVERYTHING, was outstanding. Will be returning and recommending to friends.
Amazing food in a lovely and casual atmosphere. We had the tasting w/ wine pairing and everything was wonderful.
Have been twice and it has not failed us. The food is really good and the staff is uberly helpful. Great place for a meal, no matter what occasion.
Always reliable and delicious dishes backed by courteous staff.
I wanted to like this place more than I did based on the reviews. Perhaps dinner here would have been a better choice. Overall good. My cauliflower dish was okay. Two of us had the duck dish which they both really enjoyed. The other person in our group has the egg and bacon dish, he devoured it! The service felt a little awkward and removed. Not sure we’ll be back.
It is toi expensive for the quality of the food, and more especiallythe wines.
Best dining experience we’ve had in Brooklyn this year. Delicious food and outstanding service. The restaurant is lovely with the perfect noise/music level. BONUS POINTS: We were there for Christmas Eve and our party of four ordered the prix fixe menu. (Every dish was amazing.) At the end of the meal, not realizing the tip was included in the check, we paid an additional, generous tip. Belatedly realizing our mistake, we called the restaurant and management looked up our table and fixed our mistake in two minutes! That further cemented our impression of Meadowsweet. We couldn’t recommend it more highly. Excellent all around.
My wife and I went to Meadowsweet for Christmas Eve dinner. It was $75 for 3 courses, and the food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, there are no reasonably priced bottles of wine, so we went for a $68 bottle of Pinot noir from Oregon which brought the overall price up considerably - incl tax and tip, the total was $280 +
The space is well designed and beautifully decorated. The waitress was very friendly and made great recommendations.
My only complaint: the hostess. She refused to switch us to another table after seating us next to a large party - the restaurant was 80% empty at that point.
While it would have been nice (and reasonable) for her to have accommodated us, what was worse was her attitude.
We approached her respectfully with no sense of entitlement whatsoever. She responded with a look of annoyance and disdain. Totally uncalled for in this situation. She was the only negative experience in an, otherwise, wonderful Christmas Eve dinner.
We’ve been to Meadowsweet before and we’ll be back. Despite the hostess’ shortcomings, everything else was that good!
Great food. Great service. Great cocktails. Thank you Jess!!!! Always a fantastic time.
Great, great service! I was celebrating my bday and the service was great and food equality quality. It was a Sunday night, so it was not loud - which was perfect for us.
Everything was just amazing
