We arrived early, and they took us right in to our table for two. Fantastic service and excellent food. Duck spring rolls, yummy. Soft shell crab was hugh and Louisiana caught....with lump crab on top; 10. Speckled trout...great. Bread pudding in NOLA always a must.

Enjoyed a wonderful “good bye” dinner to NOLA at Mr. B’s. Seated on time and had an exceptional wait staff. We were a party of 4 and all the food was outstanding. I would highly recommend the barbecued scrimp. The sauce is incredible and something we have never tasted before. I would highly recommend Mr B’s for a very special meal. This restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip to NOLA! A great restaurant, well worth visiting

What an amazing way to close out a quick trip to NOLA. I’d been crazing their BBQ shrimp for 6 years and it was just as good as I remember. We had an amazing server who was just attentive enough. A must-go when in New Orleans.

The ambiance was nice, except for the regular dropping of dishes (3 loud accidents while dining might be a record.) The wine choices were fitting, but the whisky offerings were pedestrian. The pork chop was deliciously prepared, juicy, nearly candy shelled, and was the best meal of the four we had. The service was attentive, which was nice. The grilled redfish special was poorly seasoned, overcooked/dry, and as a result was exceptionally bland. The blackened redfish prep was much better, though still a fairly unexciting dish. The shrimp and grits were decent. Considering the price, a fair review would be a 4 or 5 out of 10.

Worse meal at a Brennan’s restaurant ever. Wait staff was inept. Never order the BarBQ shrimp if you don’t want to look like a mess. Asked to have them take it to kitchen to remove head and shells and was told they can’t do that. Some of the shrimp were overcooked. Didn’t finish dish. Plus heard wait staff complain whole time about seating two tops in section as opposed to four tops. Just a miserable time

Grilled fish of the day was wonderful. In house smoked salmon was fresh and tasty. Ken was attentive and friendly. Wine list is incredibly limited. Overall, a lovely meal.

Service was fine. The food was just OK. Three of us got the seafood gumbo and none of us finished it. Why? Because it was burnt and therefore very bitter. The gumbo ya ya didn't seem to have this issue. We were on a lunch break from a conference so we didn't say anything...but no one asked us how our food was or why we didn't finish the gumbo either.

Food was excellent. I had the pork chop which was cooked perfectly and flavored amazingly. My mom had the soft shell crab which she loved. We also shared the fried oysters. They bring fresh, warm bread to the table as well. It was overly warm in the restaurant, just not enough air circulation that it made it hard to sit there and enjoy the meal at a good pace.

I was excited to come based on the reviews of their famous BBQ shrimp but was left disappointed. The sauce is described as butter, garlicky with spices but it’s literally a roux. Shrimp was slightly overcooked. Gumbo was pretty good but again I’ve had better. The servers don’t give any eye contact or personality. They look unhappy. Underwhelming experience.

My meal was top notch and the service was perfect. I was alone and both my waiters paid just enough attention to me without over doing it. My filet with truffle butter has made me rethink butter on a filet…it was heavenly! Don’t leave without having the bread pudding for dessert…I’ve had at least a hundred and it made my top 3 list for sure!!! Yum!

I returned to Mr. B’s Bistro after many years and feared my memories of a sensational meal might prove deceptive. Instead, I and my family were again impressed by well-prepared and presented regional specialties. The ambiance was pleasing, the noise-level acceptable and the service (Kenderick, I recall) impeccable.

Mr. B's never disappoints! From the cocktails to the dessert, everything is always perfect. The service is impecable. I love the atmosphere. We did have a quite loud group next to our table, but it was fine. I kinda love to see people having a good time, especially in New Orleans. There are very few restaurants whose gumbo I LOVE, and this place has wonderful gumbo! We got the seafood pasta this time, and it was amazing.

Ordered 2 bottles wine one red one white poured red for 1/2 table could not find white , wanted to take our dinner orders without finding white wine , after complaining, white white arrived, not chilled ,told us to wait to drink it ! Never poured it for us. Had to ask )
