Terrific as usual !
I think there are far more interesting Italian restaurants than this one.
Excellent per usual—very busy and loud !
Everything was great. Serviced was timed correctly for the occasion. From when the wine was brought, to appetizers and entrees, followed by desert. Everything was great for the occasion because we were not in a rush and wanted to enjoy ourselves so being rushed was never a feeling we got. The only thing that was a little off was the Carbonara I ordered. It was a little on the salty side. Not sure if the cook/recipe acknowledges that ham is already a fairly salty meat and not sure if salt was added on the sauce and egg as it was being cooked. Other than that everything was terrific, as well as the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning again. One thing which I liked seeing in for the location it was at was the fact that the server placed items on the table and cleared the table all in accordance to proper table etiquette, which I don’t personally care in most cases but in this one it gave a nice touch to our dinner experience and it was noted. Now the tiramisu was fantastic. Tiramisu is not my desert of choice but my wife is picky when it comes to certain dishes and she loved it. Thank you for the great night.
Thank you to Osteria Marzano for making our wedding anniversary celebration so special. We were greeted by name by the host. Both he and our waitress wished us a happy anniversary. We were also given a glass of prosecco - so nice! Our waitress was also very kind in helping me select my entree as well as the right glass of wine to go with it. She was really good and I'm sorry that I didn't get her name.
I've never had a bad meal here and that night was no exception. I loved the aracini balls that we had as an appetizer and the new tonno dish was equally delicious. I have also never had more flavorful vanilla gelati, though the chocolate and the pistachio were also very good.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Osteria Marzano.
Food was great. Waiter was helpful. The location is a bit odd, but we found it, and parking in the garage was easy. There were several other things on the menu we wanted to try so we'll be back!
Amazing, as ever. The food was delicious (had the cheese plate appetizer & the agnolotti entree). Enjoyed a most excellent Barboursville Cabernet Sauvignon. Waitstaff was attentive, but astute enough to let us sit & chat when we wanted. So rare these days. Loved sitting near the window and watching dusk fall & the fountain lights come on. Perfection.
Terrific as usual—food and service excellent !!
GreatOld Fashioned from the bar. The menu here is extremely varied. The specials are imaginative. The pastas just great. Most times, the service is good. A great addition to our neighborhood
The noise level was very annoying until we were moved to the private dining room We asked the waiter to not bring our meal
until we finished with our cocktails but were served shortly after the placement. My friend's dinner was acceptable but over priced. My veal picatta was tough and over done.
Staff very accommodating and had an unexpected birthday dessert, thank you! Recommend to allow dining patrons access to happy hour specials.
Love this place, always have great service and great food!
Attended a special event when the restaurant was closed to general patrons; i.e. a watch party for the 2018 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix with an Italian car club of Ferrari fans. Plenty of great Italian food. Race was shown on MANY TVs throughout the restaurant. Also, the scene out the window of several Ferrari's, Alfa Romeos, etc was incredible. But that might've just been that day. Would go back on a regular day and try it.
We were there for the Italian Grand Prix Viewing Breakfast and coming here is one of the highlights on our event calendar. The food is always wonderful at Osteria Marzano. The people and atmosphere really help to make this a great event! Even on a day as busy as they were for the viewing party, they took the time to celebrate one of our member's birthdays with a song and a Tiramisu.
Thank you Osteria Marzano, I will definitely be back!
Second time that I have attended the Fiat Club of Washington DC’s annual breakfast for the Grand Prix of Italy. Osteria Marzano could not be more accommodating, courteous, or friendly to the group. Plenty of good quality food, nice variety—perfect location and staff for the occasion.
Went here for a special event with the Fiat and Ferrari Club to watch the Italian Grand Prix. Great brunch, ambiance and very friendly helpful staff. Will definitely be back for dinner!
Two delicious vegetarian pasta dishes. We were delighted!
Only complaint: the waiter whisked away my partner's salad plate--and brought her entree--before I had finished my salad. Always makes us feel like we are on an assembly line.
My girlfriend and I went here for date night last Friday. The service was excellent and the food was great. It was a little off the beaten path but the DJ and the vibe was great.
Birthday dinner for daughter was outstanding; lively crowd for Friday; food was superb & service was exemplary. This will be considered a favorite place henceforth.
Everything about our dinner (food, wine, service) was excellent, with the exception of the noise level. Seating near the bar during Happy Hour with people and TVs made it a little difficult for us to talk to each other.
Disappointing. Staff friendly and accommodating. Food good but nothing special. Jerk at bar loud, walking up to tables and visiting, joking , swearing, etc. Got the impression he is a regular - seemed to know others. Chance you take in a place where seating surrounds bar.
Another wonderful dinner / evening out at Marzano's. It is great to have such a fine restaurant in the neighborhood. Locating the restaurant in the maze of buildings may be difficult for the first time diner. Parking may also be problematic but there are reserved spaces. We both had the salmon Alla Griglia... Simply mouth watering delicious ... and a nice bottle of Malbec. We will return since this is one of our favorite restaurants in Northern Virginia.
Terrific per usual !
We went during restaurant week and were impressed with our 3 course options. The food, service and wine were outstanding. It is tough to find a balance between kid friendly and food forward; but we found it here!
Always great food, generally good service. Not much in the way of "noise-absorbing" textures in the (attractive, sleek, modern) decor, so if it's crowded, you won't be able to converse easily with a group of more than 4. If you get in at a slow time, that's not as much of an issue, but when going with a larger group that you'd like to be able to have a discussion, pick a slow time.
Great food in an energetic atmosphere. Trendy version of fine dining.
We always liked going to OM; however, this time there was a live DJ that played upbeat music way too loud. Good thing we were seated in the separate room or else we wouldn’t be able to hear each other.
Food was super! Service was great.
Birthday celebration was nice in private room, but happy hour noise was extremely loud.
Absolutely terrific—-food and service the best !
Food was great. Only glitch was that receptionist failed to note our check-in on the reservation log, thus causing confusion as to whether we had actually fulfilled our reservation commitment.
Wonderful place for a date night. Delicious food at a reasonable price.
A total neighborhood gem—Food service and ambiance terrific!
This is a gem of an Italian restaurant tucked away in an office building. The lunch special is a good $10 deal. Although we didn’t have it the table next to us did and the chicken parmigiana on top of spaghetti looked fantastic. Their red sauce is very good. I prefer my arancini/rice balls with mozzarella in the center and I didn’t think the saffron added anything but color. The meatball on the spaghetti was very good. I will be back to try the spaghetti chitarra to see if it’s anything like what I ate in Sorrento.
As always the food was great and the service outstanding. Salads are wonderful and pasta dishes superb.
Terrific per usual !
Wonderful food and attentive staff.
On a very rainy Saturday night we decided to lift our spirits by having one of the best Italian dinners! The lobster ravioli were spectacular as was the mushroom tagliatelle. The sauces were flavorful and rich without being too heavy. The bar was a bit loud when we arrived but it was Saturday. The servers were attentive and had great suggestions. The chocolate salami dessert was unique and tasted wonderful.
tirimasu was very good so was the calamari. Bread tasted very fresh. Lasagna taste authentic. Service was impeccable. Definitely a hidden gem. And when I say hidden I mean, it was a little confusing on how to find the place. My suggestion would be something out on Beulah st. letting people know where to go so they don't end up at the other area restaurant.
Chef Marzano's menu is creative and the food is always delicious. The wait staff are knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Osteria Marzano!
