Disappointed by the inexperienced wait service. Nice girl. but ruined the flo of the meal.
Father’s Day Brunch was exceptional. Highly recommend and we will be back!!
Amazing food and staff, cozy friendly environment, will definitely be returning!!
Food, staff and place were perfect! I’m ready to book my next dinner
Osteria never disappoints! One of our top go-tos that has fantastic cocktails, authentic food and superb service. We enjoy everything about our evenings there and we’re always treated special.
I was there for a birthday celebration and it happened to be on Father’s Day. I was at first disappointed to see they were only serving the buffet, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Everything I tried was fresh and tasty. The beet salad, burrata caprease salad, and mac and cheese with bacon were all excellent. The tenderloin cooked perfectly.
The service was excellent too. It seemed like everyone was going out of their way to make sure your dining experience was nice. Kudos to Alec our waiter who did a great job. I will be back to order off the menu!
Amazing food and service! The only negative was eating outside meant dealing with a lot of bugs going in your face and food. Other than that amazing and would recommend.
Really enjoyed the father’s day brunch buffet.
Wowie Zowie - The Father’s Day Buffet exceeded all expectations! It was all excellent, artfully prepared with hot dishes kept hot, and cold dishes nice and cold. We especially liked the Beef Tenderloin with Chimichurri Sauce, String Beans w/garlic, the Deviled Eggs, Shrimp Cocktails, and the various Pizzas. The variety and quality of everything went way above and beyond the usual brunch offerings. Got a Happy Father’s Day Buzz from the Bellinis - exactly what I needed to set up an afternoon nap!
Way -way too loud !!!!
There was a private party with over 20 attendees and a DJ very near our table who arrived after we were seated so the noise was really loud and you couldn't talk. They'd made a reservation which is fine but diners should have been moved to the back area -- or the private party put there in the first place.
The food was outstanding!!!
We had another great meal there. Food is always good, no matter you get. Chef Marzano even brought out the steak addition to my daughters pasta himself!
I guess every Friday there is a dj which makes the inner restaurant very noisy. We chose to sit outside because of this which made the experience better. The food was good but could have used more seasoning on the brocolini. As for the cut to order prosciutto de Parma was amazing! The hanger steak was cooked to perfection. finally the creme brûlée was enjoyable as well.
It was a very bad experience, and an expensive one. The fish was supposed to be "sea bass", but it was dry, and thin cut, and not like any sea bass we had ever had. The music was too loud. The waitress was nice and was new, and seemed reluctant to go get the someliee (sp?). The vegetable (and the fish) was overcooked. The desert was not up to standard, either. A real disappointment, and we never write reviews, let alone a bad one. But I feel this experience was so very bad, I need to express our disappointment.
A fun —delightful evening—
Food and service excellent !!!
The food was delicious and the staff was very gracious in accommodating my friend’s food restrictions.
They were very nice but really this is an office park restaurant for business people in the area to have lunch. It’s completely dead at night, no fun buzz, just a ghost town of offices. Parking is inconvenient and a bit scary because the concrete garage is deserted. The walk to the restaurant’s front door is long and dull. Not a good beginning as you prepare to part with a large amount of your money for the dinner check. The server was great, but hey, the place was empty and I felt bad for her. There’s next to no way you will easily find this place. They have signage but we still got lost. There is absolutely no street presence - curb appeal really helps a restaurant and this place has zero. So, go for utilitarian reasons - you have business at Booz Allen or General Dynamics and someone else is paying for your $44 steak. I’m sure the big entrees are good, but we stuck with the more modest pasta. It was good, not great. They must sustain themselves on business people because locals going out for a more have much more appealing options in the area.
Food and service excellent—
Way too loud—restaurant needs to address this issue !!
Service, food and ambience are always stellar here!
Great place for a first date. Food, service and atmosphere was great!
I have always been pleased with Marzano and will continue to come back.
We ate outside on the patio and enjoyed the breezy warm spring day with our standard poodle. The food was delicious (husband, fish and chips; wife, Margherita pizza w/embellishments; dog, pizza crust and a bit of french fry). Although the restaurant is in an office park, there's a lovely park to look at a fountain to enjoy.
Our favorite place in the area. Food is always outstanding and the wine list is fantastic. Never had a bad wine pick and we often try to find the same wines to drink at home. The are flexible with the menu and can readily make small changes. For example, changed the spaghetti carbonara to fettuccine carbonara.
Osteria Marzano does not take shortcuts with anything on their menu, service and decor. From the perfect coffee (you really don't need to add anything) to the short rib ravioli, brunch, desserts (best Tiramisu) to the high-quality drink menu- everything is top notch and consistent. It can be tricky to find, but for my own selfish reasons I like it that way :-)
I'm a long time fan of Marzano's, but it's only gotten better. Our most recent visit was on a Friday night, the place was quite busy. The Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe, made tableside in a wheel of Pecorino-Romano was to die for. I hope it's on the menu the next time we visit.
Terrific—service and food excellent !
Easter brunch is as fabulous...food was great and the service outstanding.. just be aware it is quite lively... no quiet conversation.. great experience
Osteria Marzano never disappoints! This is my go to for Date Nights, Sunday brunch and weekday lunch with friends. The wine list is extensive, offering something for everyone. All of the food is outstanding, but be sure to try the mussels appetizer with pancetta and ginger cream sauce-it's the best! The servers are friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. OM is a local gem and we will be back soon.
Easter Sunday Brunch was terrific—-
Food and Service the Best !!!
I lovely meal but a little loud
Always a great meal with excellent service
Our table was just across from the bar, and the happy hour crowd was incredibly noisy. With only an aisle between our table and the bar and not be able to enjoy the happy hour prices was disappointing.
Marzanos is our favorite Italian restaurant in the Springfield/northern Va area. We always have an excellent meal here. The food is authentic Italian. My husband is Italian and we are particular about finding good Italian food. The chef here is amazing. We use to go to his families restaurant in Washington, DC, so we are fortunate he opened up this restaurant near our home.
We eat here often and have had several large family celebrations there. Had the spaghetti which is served out of the cheese round....very cool and very delicious. Heartily recommend OM.
We have gone to OM many times and would go more often if the service was better. The food is fabulous but the servers and employees are difficult.
We arrived a bit early and stood by the front desk for 10 minutes without anyone coming over. There were three employees talking at the bar and not one moved to assist. I finally went over to ask if they could seat us and was told they would have to ask someone else to help. The restaurant was relatively empty but within a few moments they sat someone right next to us. They were very noisy, speaking loudly, by the end of the meal, I knew the gentleman’s entire unhappy working career. We were there for our 40th wedding anniversary and would have liked the atmosphere to be more conducive to privacy and conversation, OUR conversation.
We ordered a simple champagne cocktail and were told they did not offer it. I explained what was in it and was told she would see what she could do. No sense of customer service, no attempt to satisfy our request.
That said, the meal was excellent - well prepared, plentiful and tasty. That is what brings us back. Maybe next time we will get take-out.
The best Italian food in the Alexandria area. Authentic and great variety of items on the menu.
O.K. for a neighborhood "sports-bar" eatery specializing in Italian fare, but it's not a destination restaurant. Quite loud, salty food. Closer to Olive Garden than The Red Hen or Fiola. Not a bad experience (service was very good) but uninspiring food. Pretty loud as well, TV's and the music both on along with the bar being centered in the room made for difficult conversation. Not rushing back, but neither would I say avoid it. Just don't have high expectations.
Great food and service to match. In the past gone for lunch and noise level was not as great as in the evening. You would think it would be the opposite, perhaps greater divider between bar and eating area.
Delicious food and great service. Risotto was amazing and so was the carbonara
Good food, good service, far too loud to hold a conversation.
