    Make this a destination when in Vancouver. Travelling from the UK we were given the place as a must go to, by a Canadian friend and it didn’t disappoint. Great staff, wine list carefully created and the sommelier helped us find the perfect match for our food, and the food was perfect, two of our group had a pasta dish which they raved about, my friend and I had the pork belly special that was cooked perfectly. The ambience is buzzy but not overbearing, people waxing lyrical about the food no doubt. Will return if ever back in Vancouver !

    Wonderful experience in all regards. Food is amazing, love the family style menu so we can try a little bit of everything. Even dishes that seem very simple in description are delicious - you can’t go wrong with any menu item, they’re all just that good. Service was excellent, thank you Ben! His love of food was apparent as he described various dishes and his warm smile made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Also very much appreciated the flow of the service, where right after we placed our dinner order, the Sommelier visited our table to offer wine recommendations based on the food we ordered and what our preferences were. She made lovely recommendations and we enjoyed the wine very much. Atmosphere was romantic, not too loud, perfect for a date night.

    Truly one of the most exceptional meals ever !!!great server, knowledgeable and funny ,smart ,sommelier perfect bottle of wine only negative is how noisy the room is , they really need proper acoustic panels on ceiling to somewhat dampen the sound. The little panels scattered around on ceiling are useless. Please get some professional advice Re acoustic treatments Other than that the place ambience and notably food is perfection !!We will be back( perhaps wearing noise cancelling earphones!

    Celebrated our parents anniversary and we were excited to have them try out Savio. We did the alla familia menu and were very happy with the selections, presentations and portioning. Overall a great first experience at Savio for the majority of the group.

    We called ahead and asked if the restaurant had gluten free pasta and were told yes. When we arrived , our daughter who is celiac asked what pasta dishes were gluten free and the waiter rudely said only the risotto. He wasn’t helpful and was honestly quite condescending and kept trying to convince us to order the family style meal not at all caring that my daughter couldn’t eat any of it. This used to be our favourite restaurant but it’s doubtful we will go back. Super disappointed and will be sharing our experience with our friends who frequent the restaurant

    Lovely dining experience! Our server was so attentive and knowledgeable about their food and wine menu. We appreciated the celebratory frizzante for toasting our anniversary dinner. Every dish was on point and well seasoned! We will come back for sure!

    We ordered 14 items for four adults, incl alcoholic bevvies, that worked out to be ~$88 pp. Garlic bread - good, but pricey at $13, for this size. Of the two pastas, we thought the portion for the stuffed agnolotti could have been more generous; the oxtoil canestri was delicious. Risotto and the striploin (which was our second option bc the smallest dryaged ribeye ran out) were well executed but perhaps lacked a wow factor. The feature arugula salad was okay - it was introduced to us as an arugula+asparagus combo - it's really arugula with very thin shavings of asparagus 😅 Broccolini was a great veggie add on. Dessert menu is thin, we got gelato and a chocolate tart that is richly hazelnutty and veryyy sweet. Would have preferred if the mains could have been served together to enjoy a true family style meal. Beautiful and still comfy family friendly environment, albeit noisy, it isn't obnoxiously a loud restaurant imo. A sturdy, wooden high chair was prepared in advance as requested in our reso notes which I greatly appreciated! Overall, a good experience for a special occasion, but unsure if our menu choices met our expectations.

    Absolutley fabulous. Everyone went out of their way to make my birthday special. Loved the Foxy birthday card too! The bevvies and food were outstanding. We ordered the chef's choice and we are so glad we did. Love all the wonderful suprises we received for our meal. Perfect portions for the two of us. Thank you everyone.

    Such a special place! Everything we ate and drank was phenomenal (especially the whipped ricotta, which I don't have adequate words to describe), and every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and affable. The space itself is super cool, and despite the high ceilings and open format, it was surprisingly not all that loud.

    The service, food and wine were great and the four of us had a wonderful evening. It’s a very busy place and fairly noisy, so it’s not a place to go for a quiet, intimate dinner. However, if you love great Italian food and wine you must go!

    Food is awesome, interior design s great, nice atmosphere, service is spectacular. One thing to be picked about is that the table is very small and all the tables are places very closed, you can clearly hear what your neighbors are chatting, doesn't really have any privacy. servers are great and promptly clearing out dishes and replace utensils.Enjoyed the overall experience.

    The place has a great reputation and comes highly recommended by many. Food was solid, but less unique than I was hoping for. Server was pleasant but we interacted with our bus staff more as they dropped & explained the food — they knew the main components of each dish, but were not educated on the specifics (ie. what herbs, what the base of the sauce was, etc). Surprisingly casual — kids at several tables, lots of bday parties, etc. I'd go back, but would not wait 4 weeks for a reso again.
