We enjoyed the Wednesday complete dinner - steak was excellent, plenty of food and the dessert was delicious. It was a bit loud but there were two groups that accounted for the majority of the noise level. This wasn't typical since we've eaten there before.
Been to Palmers several times and never dissapointed. The ribs are great and we always enjoy the Palmer Salad. Calamari is crispy and tender. Its our go to place for special occasions.
It was lovely overall.
Have been there many times for various occasions and will certainly return!
Went on Sat night. We waited for our friends at the bar great friendly service. The restaurant was full and busy. The waitress was attentive. We had a really nice dinner! We were there a about a month ago and it was really nice...we did not get to the bar that time but it was a Friday night and they had live music at the bar area which is a in a separate room from the dining rooms. Looked like fun.
Food is outstanding, a little loud
Bar area is very nice. The restaurant seating on a Saturday was jam packed. Tables were on top of each other. Room was very warm and asked them to turn down the heat
Food choices were varied. I ordered the Sacchetta which was pasta filled with cheeses and a cream truffle cheese sauce with sliced pears. Well no truffle taste and not one pear slice on the whole plate. Told the waitress and the young manager and all I got was “oh we’ll mention that to the kitchen”.
Saturday nights are not a great indicator of well prepared food or wait staff. Everything is always rushed
Everyone loved the food. Service was very slow for our table, not sure what that was about.
The food was fantastic. The drinks were fantastic. The service was quick and fantastic. Love Palmers
Food was delicious i loved it. My only real complaint is the silverware was dirty and the food took about a hour to come out. Other than that everything was wonderful. i would recommend. Just be wary of the silverware when its busy
Excellent service, nice decor, superb food.
the food is delicious. every time i go i try something different. the lobster ravioli is the best.
Our go to place for special dinners.... Good value, wonderful food!
Enjoyed our restaurant week menu selections. Excellent service and value. We will be back.
People were great and the food was delicious
The staff and the food was excellent
Great food as always, this time we were there on a Thursday for ladies night. Ladies have a 3 course dinner for $28. Great selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Always attentive service.
Excellent service and food.
Came here for my dads birthday and we were a large party. The service and food were excellent! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service! I will be returning.
The food and service were terrific. It gets a bit noisy.
Went on a Thursday for their “Ladies Night” special. It’s a three course price fixe menu. I ordered the baked clams as an appetizer- they were small and a little sandy, but tasty. For my entree I ordered the salmon which was a nice sized portion. It was served with rice pilaf and mixed vegetables. I make rice pilaf at home all the time and I know that I was served Near East boxed rice pilaf. I just expected something more home made. For dessert I had apple crisp that was microwaved too long and took forever to cool down. I wasn’t disappointed- the food was decent but not good enough. I won’t be back.
Service was a bit slow but it was busy. They needed one more. Food was good, drinks were good. Would go back.
Very festive and enjoyable. Food choices were excellent and they had seasonal cocktails...
Great service and really good food
You wouldn't think that the little strip mall is where you'd find a restaurant this good. Food was tasty and the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant.
Always a great meal. great environment
Food was delicious. Service was courteous and responsive.
The food was luke warm we had to ask for it to be warmed up. Holiday parties galore. Too loud. It was our anniversary so we we were hoping for a quieter atmosphere.
It was wonderful. We came for a late dinner after a night of bowling. The food was delicious. We were not rushed even though it was late.
We and another couple have been going to Palmer's for years and consider it a nice, traditional American restaurant. We usually dine there on a weekday but had occasion to visit this time on a Saturday night. Well, the food and service was up to par, but we found the noise level in the full main dining room to be extra loud - something we hadn't noticed during the less-crowded weekdays. That aside, the food is very good at Palmer's, and the service has always been attentive and excellent.
Outstanding as always!! We love it there!!
Always our first choice to dine!!
We were most impressed with the service. My husband’s filet mignon had a sizable piece of fat on it. The waitress, Amy, was apologetic and said she would notify the owner. Within minutes the owner was at the table, also apologetic and said he would remove the item from the bill, which he did.
The rest of the meal was delicious. The ambiance was comfortable and not noisy.
We will definitely recommend Palmers to friends and relatives and return in the near future.
lovely dinner- restaurant week - wanted to try something new and very nice
This was a weird experience. It was restaurant week and Palmers is a participating restaurant. We made our reservation on the Restaurant week website and it went through Open Table.
We tried to get 6 or 6:30 but nothing was available so we took a 7pm reservation at a high top table. Not a big deal.
So, we get there right at 7 and are told it will just be few minutes. Awesome! Then the hostess comes over and apologizes to us because only a regular table is available and she asks us if that will be alright. Score!
So we sit down at about 7:05 and order a glass of wine and ask for the restaurant week menus because the ones the hostess gave us are the regular ones.
The waiter brings us the proper menus and out wine.
As we start to discuss what we want, the waiter comes back and imforms us that in order to get the restaurant week deal we had to have been seated by 6:30.
We politely tell the waiter that we made the reservation through the Restaurant week website and at no time did a time restriction come up. He leaves and speaks to his manager and then returns and allows us to order from that menu.
So the funny part:
I don't know if I've ever been served and had my plates cleared so quickly. They were trying to take plates before we were done with them! It was actually comical.
Now, we get it. They weren't making much money off of us and they just wanted to move us along and for some bigger spenders in those seats.
From our perspective though, it was great. We didn't want to stay out late (although if we had been served a bit slower we might have ordered another glass of wine) and we had no problem being rushed because we understood the restaurants position.
So long story short. We got there at 7, were seated at 5 after and had eaten 3 courses and paid our bill and was out the door at 7:50!
Food was good too!
Food and drinks were good. Waitress was non existent! Saw more bus boys then the waitress.
My husband and I were coming from a funeral service, And we’re hungry. So I asked open table to find the best restaurant for steak using my current location, and palmers came up. We selected the only seats left which were high top in the bar. We actually like the seats and I booked us a reservation online. Our reservation was in 10 minutes, and the directions said we would be there in six minutes. Perfect! And so was everything that followed as you can see by this review.
We had a wonderful Anniversary Dinner. Service was terrific. Our waitress, Jelyca couldn't have been nicer. Food was delicious, definitely a place to return to.
Booked through open table during restaurant week. Dinner was rushed and I did not receive my 100 points for dining. Server was a little confused with open table gift card.
The waiter Abe made the night. He had a great sense of humor and made our dining experience more enjoyable
our table ready upon arrival. restaurant week menus used. courses came quite fast, maybe a tad too fast. main courses and dessert portion sizes a little small and not all hot. not rushed out when having coffee. waitress most helpful. a very busy friday night.
