Pennsylvania 6 es un nuevo restaurante que está cambiando el escenario de la zona de Herald Square. Pennsylvania 6 es una fusión del siglo XXI entre el Oak Room y el Oyster Bar, y trae consigo la impresión de la vieja Nueva York y un nuevo sabor de la clásica gastronomía estadounidense. El nombre es un homenaje a Pennsylvania 6-5000, el número telefónico del vecino Pennsylvania Hotel, el cual se hizo famoso en la canción del mismo nombre interpretada por la Glenn Miller Orchestra. El restaurante tiene raíces estadounidenses casuales con un sofisticado toque culinario gracias a su barra de mariscos siempre abastecida de las más finas ostras y mariscos, un bar de cocteles artesanales, el menú de cervezas de la casa y una ecléctica carta de vinos, y ha llegado en el momento indicado mientras el área continúa evolucionando y la zona cercana de NoMad se convierte en un destacado destino gastronómico con The Breslin, John Dory, el Ace Hotel y NoMad.

We were warmly greeted and seated close to our reservation time. Our server was attentive and kind throughout the meal. Of the three items we ordered, the Knickerbocker Burgers and Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were tasty and the serving sizes were sufficient. The good size portion of fig/fontina cheese flatbread, however, was dry and the cheese was barely there. I would not order it again.

Ok place for a sit-down lunch in the food desert near Penn Station. Service and food were OK. Wouldn't travel to go eat here

This little gem was around the corner from our hotel and came up with good reviews. I’m so glad we tried it because it was perfect! My daughter & I both had a salad & shared an appetizer. Perfect calm dinner after a hectic busy day of college tours. Plus an adorable front decor with lights & plants. To me that makes a regular place extraordinary! Great photo opportunities after dinner! (Minus the homeless man in front) two 👍🏼👍🏼

We had a lovely time at Pennsylvania 6 for our anniversary. Our food was delicious, our service was quick and fantastic, and we left with smiles on our faces!

Our server was extremely frazzled and didn’t seem to know much about the restaurant or food. The food was mediocre at best and priced way too high.

My dinner tonight was a Caesar salad and 1/2 portion of gnocchi. The salad was delicious and served with fresh anchovies which I love. The gnocchi small portion was perfect size, slightly sweet in a delicious sage brown butter sauce . My only complaint was the gnocchi were too heavy ...perhaps a slight change in the recipe would result in a more fluffy potato dumpling . My friend had the salmon which was cooked perfectly.
