    Disappointing Experience – Certainly Won’t Be Returning We visited Quaglino’s on Monday 2nd November to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday with eight friends, a table of ten. We were seated at a large table in the centre of the restaurant. Whilst our waiter was very pleasant and did his best, he appeared to be the only person looking after the restaurant floor. The biggest issue was how incredibly cold the restaurant was. Despite repeatedly asking for the heating to be turned up, nothing seemed to improve, and we spent the entire meal feeling uncomfortably cold. The menu was surprisingly limited, with very little choice, and whilst the food was perfectly acceptable, it was certainly nothing special. For a restaurant of Quaglino’s reputation, we expected a much better experience, particularly for such a special birthday celebration. Overall, extremely disappointing and certainly not somewhere we would recommend or return to.

    Service was incredible, food tasted fresh and with dimension, music is refreshing and not overpowering our conversation. It was an excellent experience. We were just going out randomly and we just want somewhere to eat, chat and relax and Qualingo was the perfect spot. Will come back again.

    Service: Started off great, but once we’d been been served it seemed like we were forgotten. We spent 10 mins trying to get the attention of a waiter to bring our bill and a further 10 minutes waiting for it. It wasn’t that busy.. multiple waiters walked past us/ignored us in our section and prioritised cleaning empty tables. Had to get up out of my seat to personally remind them to bring the bill. Brought an extra bottle of water which nobody asked for and poured into our cups, extra £8 on the bill there which I couldn’t be bothered to make a fuss over whilst on a date. Food: Portions suitable for a toddler (as expected at these type of places) but £32 for a finger sized piece of chicken is a bit of a joke, that said - it was delicious. We ordered fries and a side of courgettes as recommended by the waiter, we didn’t like the courgettes.. they did nothing about it. You’d expect a place like this can afford to take a glazed vegetable off the bill. Atmosphere: I remember this place being nicer, more romantic and low light vibes but it just wasn’t that. Live music was nice but didn’t really create a good atmosphere. Overall, disappointing and not worth it. Definitely won’t be going again or recommending this place to friends.

    Oysters came without tobasco sauce, fries came without ketchup, had to ask three times. That vibe that was there before the renovation is gone

    This is a great place with great food, all I would say is that the service that we received was not quite as good as it should have been. We ate quite late and the waiting staff seemed a little pre-occupied with setting tables for the following day rather than providing us with a level of service commensurate with the quality of the venue and the food. Don't let that put you off eating here - it's truly a memorable experience for all the right reasons.
